And while yes, this is not technically a typo, for me it has the same characteristics for the sake of automated edits:
- These data values are obviously incorrect and unsupported
- There is a "correct" replacement value
- It is clear that the user meant this other value

I don't see a problem in making smaller CS, I just understood that this was what the community preferred, but I guess different users have different opinions on the matter.
I will split up future similar edits, though I am not really planning on doing anything similar at the moment.

Hmm, my bad I also forgot to apply the mechanical=yes tag to this edit. I will also include this in future comments. But due to the description and size of the changeset (and the lack of source=survey) I thought it would be obvious.
Also the OTG was obviously already incorrect.
However removing all colour values, which have an obvious "correct" alternative, that other mappers have tagged seems needlessly destructive.

Hmm, I think my changeset comment makes it quite clear that I did not check it.
Also any software that uses the colour field to render, will now correctly render this object, this allows users to more easily find this error, which would not have been visible before.

But it still seems clear what was meant right? Like what else can "grau" in the colour field mean?

Also asking the community if I need to ask the community to perform a changeset seems very... wierd? Why does that exception exist if I would need to do it anyway? I had already geographically limited this changeset to only the german speaking countries. I applied the same fix outside in smaller edits with more manual review.

This feels like is falls under the "typo" exception: osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct#Exceptions

A single large changeset seems preferable to 250 individual changeset in this case.
