No, this is a problem which should be discussed in an established forum or on an international mailing list.

This is not a local problem at all.

Hi,

please stop "killing" the admin boundary of mexico. This is technically wrong because boundariy relations have to be closed. By adding another segment you will make the whole polygon invalid.

Maritime boundaries are usually bigger than the national boundaries but they are not part of the admin boundary.

relation/3978589

https://wambachers-osm.website/images/osm/snaps_2019/lemgo.png

Gruss

hi,

why did you delete this area?
and what is the source of your changes? "clejuarez@gmail.com" is not a valid source. please be more specifc.

hi

this boundary is damaged again: relation/4282887#map=16/-23.9846/-46.2964

Please try to fix it.

walter

btw: Editing relations with JOSM is much, much saver than iD.

yes, i did it again. :(
must have a bad weekend.
informed DWG of my error.

Hi, by changing the AL2 of the Palestinian Territories to boundary=disputed, you are whiping out the WHOLE territory. That is not acceptable.

contacted DWG.

Hi, by changing the AL2 of the Palestinian Territories to boundary=disputed again, you are whiping out the WHOLE territory and not only a part of the the West Bank. That is not acceptable.

contacted DWG.

Yes, rendering problem is true.

Sometimes the rendering database which mapnik is using, contains old or invalid data. This will be fixed by the admins doing a complete reload 1-2 times a year.

Sometimes "tickling" a object (relation, way or node) will help. I created a new node in the "unvisible" line and moved this point a little bit.

And there it is.

But there is still action necessary by the admins.

Hi Ferdinand,

74070278

Hi Joseph,
to be honest the problem still exist.

If you look carefully, you'll see there are two lines visible. One is ok and the other is a data error in the rendering database. This sometimes happens and can only be solved by the admins.

You could try to get in contact to the OWG (OSM Working Group), which is responsible for problems like that. (i wouldn't care ;))

some more errors in Taiwan.

usage: click on "new" or "same", fix, and update list (edit button on the right)

hi, you shredded about 20 admin boundaries in Brazil and Guyana :(
see https://wambachers-osm.website/index.php/10-osm-reports/1704-countries-compare-2019-08-29 all missings and changed areas are result of your last 2 edits.

Spent more than one hour to fix that stuff - please be more carefull - or better don't touch admin boundaries. That is no easy job.

done: changeset/73371144

need to check the results because revert was a little bit tricky.

73324769

yes, i do know.

i'ts the way how i do editing using Josm: I keep the current CS open until i close it.

But sometimes i just forget to close the last one before creating a new one in another country :(

Not often, but sometimes.

sorry for that

btw: editing relations (i.g. boundaries) should NOT BE DONE BY iD. This is no good editor for complex work. Josm is much better.

72930619

reverted because you shreded 19 admin boundaries.
see https://wambachers-osm.website/index.php/10-osm-reports/1678-countries-compare-2019-08-03 (all boundaries which CHN and "fixed".#

Changing admin boundaries is not an easy job. please get more experience.
