Coastlines are broken after this change. Please, use JOSM and validator when editing coastlines.

Why coastline?

151069078

Why "beach" here?

150605537

Coastlines were not connected and way's orientation was bad. See my fix changeset/150642090

Please, use JSOM and its Validator when editing coastlines. Also, please, read OSM wiki about natural=coastline.

This is *not* a coastline. Please, read OSM wiki about natural=coastline tag.

What are the next steps here?
And here? changeset/147054398

147388848

Please, read OSM wiki about coastlines before editing them. You broke the connectivity.

147054398

To clarify, they are connected, but not only these mentioned ways. If we are going to follow the logic with permissive and access, we need to review and retag all the nearby ways. Otherwise, routing will work not as expected, finding strange detours. It is also discussed here changeset/147106612

147054398

It should be reverted from my perspective.

Broken not only shuttle access roads, but not connected with the shuttle highways:

way/27850252

147198870

Reverts breaking routing changes.
See the discussion in changeset/133837637 for more details.

133837637

Well, I took the liberty of reverting it: changeset/147198870

Wait until routing engines will update their data.

OSRM, Graphhopper and Valhalla are not working here for almost a year since this particular changeset where we are writing comments :)

147106612

All the Eurotunnel service roads are already mapped as foot=no, bicycle=no, horse=no, etc. access=no is strange.

What value do your changes give?

I ask on osm-gb community, they are also agree that =permissive is odd here.

147106612

1. access=no may technically be used to include eg foot=no , but semantically it's not nice for showing something that doesn't apply as a whole to the general public. If needed, using foot= or motor_vehicle= alone is better.
2. motor_vehcle=permissive is a very common possible mistake . It doesn't mean by "permission" , "permit" , or whatever else. It has a very specific meaning. If everyone can pay to get in, it is considered =yes .

147106612

I already wrote you in other comments. Your changes are controversial. Especially access=no. Please, talk to the local UK community first.

147054398

And why motor_vehicle=permissive is better here? Why premissive?

147054398

Hm, so you select motor_vehicle=permissive, and iD editor puts access=no itself?

147054398

Why do you put access=no everywhere?
