| 153078942 | Imported clothing, jewelry, artisan goods, incense, musical instruments. This shop specializes in a wide variety of goods imported from Nepal. Believe me, I had to think pretty hard about how to tag this one. Such "import shops" are pretty common in places I've lived. |

| 158355970 | To indicate that a section of sidewalk is of poor smoothness, you can cut it from the main section (add nodes at the transition points by double-clicking, then press X) and change its smoothness value. Please do not use `name=` for smoothness data. |

| 158357756 | Could you please put this address back where it belongs? |

| 158357512 | Please fix the tree the you dragged across a street, and the building that you dragged out of shape. |

| 158312286 | Hello, and thank you for your contribution! If you will be mapping sidewalks in the Montréal area, could you please read my guide here? @une%20abeille/diary/402005
Please also make sure you're using the correct offset for Bing imagery. For Montréal, this is 0.6,-1.54
Please do not name the footways "Ramp" — this is a "descriptive name" and not correct. |

| 158302523 | They were absolutely not drawn in the middle of the physical sidewalk, because you were not using the correct imagery offset as described in my comment to you. You also drew the curb nodes directly on the sidewalks, as I talk about in my guide as being something that we are trying to avoid in Montréal. There were also issues with the tagging. If you'd like to contribute sidewalk data again, please make sure to use the correct offset, and take a look at the mapped sidewalks in Rosemont for a template that you can examine the tagging on. Please tell your professor that the OSM community would appreciate it if they would provide better training for their students before having them edit OSM. (Discussion here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/current-influx-of-students-mapping-poorly-in-montreal/120635) There are ways to allow students to work on an OSM sandbox that doesn't make actual edits to the data. This would be a better option for your professor, if they do not wish to carefully validate edits. I have already spent several hours of my personal time fixing errors, and would prefer to avoid spending more time doing so. |
