Interesting - on the ground signage is just Esplanade?

Hi folks FYI - Phone numbers in Australia should be added to OSM according to the following format with the country and regional code +61 x xxxx xxxx, +61 xxx xxx xxx for mobiles or use the phone:AU key if a 1300 or 1800 number.
For freecall numbers that work whilst overseas (ie 13 13 13) use +61 XX XX XX as per the wiki guidelines osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Australian_features#Phone_Numbers . I have just updated a recent addition that you made to OSM – Cheers

Hot tip - in ID editor - Q on the keyboard will square the corners of buildings etc and O will make something circular

Its best practice to be more descriptive with you changeset comments - Something like footpaths in West launceston would be much more valuable to other mappers. We all work off our local knowledge. osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

I think you need some lifecycle tagging for St Leonards, Invermay and Vermont stations as they no longer exists. osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

Is this shop closed permanently?

Its best practice to "square the building" using the Q key in the ID editor. There is also brillian imagery here so please take the time to get the best outline that matches the building.

These are the sources we have access to - osm.wiki/Australian_Data_Sources#Tasmania

Copyright © Devonport City Council 2024. Thebounds of the data also correspond to the LIST Imagery for which we dont have a waiver as its licence is CC BY 3.0 BY NC ND (and there is no way we will get it for OSM). Did you use the imagery to edit building outlines? Thats an issue - addresses is not as we have access to LIST for addresses.

172888197

Mmmmmm - I dont think we have permission to use the imagery from Devonport Council. If you know the licence or have contacts in council we may be able to get the required permission. The site doesnt actually specify a licence but it looks to be copyright.

We do have permission to use the LIST tiles for addressing etc.

Hi koof67 - its best practice to edit existing features rather than delete them and redraw. This ensures the history of the objects remain. You might also want to replace the surface=grass tagging on the fairways.

So what makes something get into CAPAD (as most of the Tassie marine reserves were all declared at the same time, same legislation etc) but this one is missing?

171019487

Thanks for the clarification - seems like PARKS dont even know the right terminology!

171019487

Maybe they don't get included because they are wholly within a terrestrial park boundary (Southwest national Park)? I have the Central Plan Register for the location if that helps. they are all habitat protection Zones.
