In un caso c'erano anche civici sulla strada da correggere.

Guarda che non critico i tag mtb, anzi quelli sono il modo corretto per indicare la percorribilità in mountain bike.
Scusa se insisto ma non mi sembra che fai qualcosa di buono inserendo bicycle=designated su percorsi che non sono destinati alle biciclette normali. Cosa vuoi ottenere?
Usare questo tag assieme a highway=path non è diverso da usare highway=cycleway direttamente. Stai mappando questi percorsi come si mappano le piste ciclabili cittadine. La questione della percorribilità legale è soddisfata mettendo semplicemente bicycle=yes.

Secondo me il tag bicycle=* non è ristretto alle bici da strada. Poi non a caso non ho messo highway=cycleway ma highway=path e non ho messo il tag sui sentieri CAI anche se alcuni sono oggettivamente usati, ad oggi, quasi solo dalle MTB … Comunque, tu cosa suggeriresti?

Considera che si tratta di percorsi di fatto riservati alle MTB dove la circolazione a piedi deve essere considerata poco consigliabile, anche se non esplicitamente vietata.

Rispondo:

Se fosse bicycle=yes andrebbe anche bene perché le biciclette sono legalmente consentite, anche se il percorso non è adatto a tutti i tipi.

bicycle=designated invece implica che oltre ad essere legale è appositamente designato per le biciclette, tutti i tipi di biciclette. Non può andar bene sui percorsi appositi per le mtb. Questi non si possono considerare percorsi destinati alle biciclette in senso generico.

Ho visto che hai aggiunto bicycle=designated alle tracce che hai modificato. Questo significa che sono tracce fatte apposta per le biciclette da strada. Praticamente come piste ciclabili cittadine. Dovresti correggere.

It's likely that involved elements need reevaluation and retagging but this is not the way to do.
Please revert this one and other similar edits.

I don't believe removing features based purely on absence of information on the web is good practice.
Since it was mapped out and with a given name, the campground likely existed and possibly still exists. Tents are visible in older aerial photos.
