Bing should be in sources here

Many of these H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, etc tax advisor offices are in retail buildings in retail shopping centers. Just because it's being used as a tax advisor office does not change that it's a retail building.

Do you remember what way/664547281 was supposed to be (currently untagged and not a relation member)?

The tags added in this change are all non-standard tags. Removed.

The preferred form for addr:unit is actually just the number without "#", "Suite", "Unit", etc. Fixed.

3100 address came from note/3328656

I don't see what's wrong with tagging it simply as an electronics store. Granted, it's much more than that and it's a different beast from Best Buy and friends, but shop=electronics seems to be the closest and most concise match. My concern with trying to tag everything is that 1) they aren't a true makerspace in the sense of Creatorspace or TXRX and 2) some programs will not deal well with multiple values in shop=* and leisure=*.

To me "full line of" is where it starts to become ad copy/marketing. Once you take that out, to me it seems like it's all objective.

Do these correspond to an actual house number or do they just mark the hundred block? If they are the numbers of the house on the corner the building outlines should have the data instead of a separate node. If the latter, then that's not something we typically add in OSM unless it corresponds to an actual address.

Don't forget there's a followup quest to this (at least in newer versions of StreetComplete) for the street name portion of the address.

Do you remember exactly what this was? tourism=attraction by itself conveys very little, if any, useful information.

Copied the old comment by mistake. There was no building passage added in this changeset, only buildings.

125242292

This was also from KartaView, oops

125203637

Should also have "MapWithAI; microsoft/BuildingFootprints" in sources. JOSM bug

125203267

This also included some buildings

Just a note, I have been tagging both a shop=chemist (on the building) and an amenity=pharmacy (on a separate node) for most Walgreens, CVS, etc locations, as frequently they are both and have different opening_hours (and often different phone numbers).

Hi,

This appears to be at least the fifth account to make a very similar addition in the greater Houston area. All of them have needed corrections in one or more of the following ways:

1. The opening_hours tag was formatted incorrectly; contrary to popular belief this is *not* a free-form text tag. See <opening_hours=*?uselang=en>. Note in particular, 24 hour time format and two-day weekdays.
2. The operator=* tag was used incorrectly. From the wiki at <operator=*?uselang=en>: "The operator tag is used to name a company, corporation, person or any other entity who is directly in charge of the current operation of a map object."
3. The phone number was formatted incorrectly (should be in international format starting with +1).
4. Nonstandard "Category" tag, removed and/or replaced.
5. Abbreviated street names in addresses, which have needed to be replaced.

Also, it would really be appreciated if you would stick to one account for all of these additions. There really is no need to keep making new accounts. Thanks!

Hi,

Generally if it's generic signage like "Nails", "Washateria", or "Barber Shop" with no specific name I will just leave the name off. If a more specific name is discovered later, it can be added. Otherwise we have a bunch of useless name entries clogging up the search.
