Is this a physical office location or a mailing address? If the latter, that's not really suitable for OSM.

Oops, sources should have included "web search"

Hi,

You tagged the building which likely has a convenience store as amenity=fuel with no building tag. The more commonly accepted practice is to tag the fuel canopy with amenity=fuel and tag shop=convenience on the building (or a node if not sole occupant). Either way, for future edits please note that MapWithAI will not be able to detect a duplicate building if there is no building=* tag.

Hi,

This edit appears to have deleted the names for a small section of Main Street. Please be more careful to not delete names in the future.

Hi,

You tagged many of the crossings with crossing=uncontrolled which are clearly controlled by the traffic signals nearby. In the future these should be tagged with crossing=traffic_signals. This is important as OsmAnd will call out uncontrolled crossings but not those tagged as being signal controlled.

Hi,

Going forward please do not add "name=None" where there is no name. This is implied for most service roads, and where this needs to be made explicit the tag of "noname=yes" should be used instead.

Hi,

Please remember to update the lane counts when dualizing a road like this. iD will not warn you about this, it is something you have to keep track of and check on your own.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Please note the following for future edits:

1. description=* is not for advertising copy. This is considered spam and has been removed.
2. opening_hours=* follows a specific format as documented on the wiki at <osm.wiki/> and is not free form text.
3. addr:street=* is for the street name only. The number goes in addr:housenumber=* and a unit/suite goes in addr:unit=*. See the updated tags.
4. The correct tag for postal code is addr:postcode=* not zipcode=*.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Please note the following:

1. Changeset pages, including the comments, are nofollow and spamming the changeset comments with ad copy/SEO fodder does nothing.
2. The opening_hours tag is not a free form text tag, it has a specific machine-readable syntax (which I have edited it to conform to).
3. healthcare:speciality is also not for SEO spam. I have removed this.
4. Street names in the address are unabbreviated and should not contain extra junk like "suite" or "unit". I have also fixed this.

Unless they have a separate government, these probably should remain neighboourhoods. Hamlets will cause Nominatim to return incorrect/erratic results.

I'm honestly not sure how the heck this happened; it has been fixed in changeset/158522084.

Hi,

From the wiki:

"Do not use description=* for advertising messages. They will be removed as spam and may also have further consequences for your OSM account."

The description tag you added had apparent ad copy and was thus deleted.

Hi,

For future reference, please note that Pappas is the last name of the founder of the restaurant chain and as such it is not spelled with an apostrophe.

Hi,

In the future please use more descriptive changeset comments. "Various edits" does not offer any insight as to what the actual edits are.

Reverted in part in changeset/156415513: vandalism and questionable data sourcing

I've tagged a lot of features (c-stores in particular) on the building outline when I know the building has just one occupant. I will use nodes for shops/amenities if it's an obvious multi-tenant building, or even in the (now dwindling) number of e.g. Taco Bell/KFC/Pizza Hut multi-brand fast food outlets (actually, Dunkin and Baskin-Robbins are doing this). There are edge cases such as 7-Eleven and Laredo Taco Company where the latter is actually part of the former; those I've put on a separate node inside the 7-Eleven building.

I'm surprised Osmose actually throws this as a warning though. I have never seen it. I agree with "one feature, one element" in general, but taken to its extreme it would be to tag shop=convenience and amenity=fuel on the same node inside the fully enclosed building. That would make correctly tagging e.g. a 7-Eleven with Exxon fuel very challenging.

154548532

What is the rationale behind doing this? As in, what is the benefit versus mapping amenity=fuel on the roof outline itself?

155076376

True, but StreetComplete is still going to ask. Should I just disable the quest? Though that does nothing for the other StreetComplete users who will still have it enabled.

Please excuse the typo, the correct changeset comment should be "Add buildings". JOSM has been flaky with keyboard input lately, not sure why.

Were you able to find an address for the former Paige UMC building? (Particularly when mapping in small towns, I try to get as much address information as I can find.)
