Yeah, trying to remember rationale for a 7 year old changeset was a long shot, I know ... This came from a note on the main OSM list (https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2017-June/078203.html) and then some very testy mailings from Jochen in talk-ca in the last couple of weeks.

Hi Mark - intrigued to read your changeset comment, as it seems the islands in Callendar Park Pond *don't* render now if the outer way is tagged natural=water. Interestingly, there's a big push on globally to remove tagging from outer ways along with claims that it's always been wrong to do this ...

Could you perhaps be a little more descriptive in your changeset comments? "added house" doesn't tell us much in a changeset spanning half the world. Please see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for guidance.

The way in question was this one - way/274338467 - that you'd extended out to join up with the exit road. It stops at the NW corner, and the Bing imagery is too fuzzy to make this detail out

Hey, you *can't* use the city's open data for turn restrictions. The data licence isn't compatible with OSM.

Please revert these changes and any that used the city's data. We're working closely with the city to get the data usable, but we're not there yet.

Were all of the addresses bad?

Rather than deleting these, you should have flagged them for other users to correct. As you're mixing additions and deletions in what should only be an import account, it will mean more work to revert.

Please don't delete existing buildings. So far in this changeset I've seen buildings contributed by @andrewpmk and @jiminie deleted.

hey, the bing imagery isn't very clear in this area (= where I live) so I wouldn't add ways unless it's totally clear

These are confusing. I live less than 100 m from this, and I can't work out what the intention of these are. Can you clairfy? Are some of these underground?
