Thank you for contributions to openstreetmap. Purely FYI, I came across a few ways you mapped with only canoe=yes tags on them. e.g. way/1360984202/. I added waterway=link tags as that's a fairly common way to designate those navigable ways for boats.

@OSM_RogerWilco I'd like your opinion then on what I was originally trying to address with this change.

Currently ways of highway=primary
+ name=Westendorfer Straße which are part of the route=portage relation
relation/18625511
do not have any access tags for portage=*. (Whereas the rest of the highway=* do have portage=yes.)

Since by law you must portage on the street would you consider it correct/appropriate to put portage=yes on the highway=primary + name=Westendorfer Straße even though foot traffic is prohibited on those ways?

That is super interesting. My apologies for the mistake. I never would have guessed that prohibition exists from my experience in elsewhere. Thank you for teaching me something new and giving me a reminder to check more closely local regulation instead of relying instinct.
