Unforunately previous editors look to have set a bad example for naming the trails. As per the referenced wiki page the name field is for the common "on the ground" name only. Access retrictions should use tagging like foot=yes|designated|no, bicycle=yes|designated|no, horse=yes|designated|no etc. See access=*#Land-based_transportation for more info

Why have you removed the emergency traffic signals tagged on the SH20, have they been removed? Also why was this change done under a changeset comment "mount eden construction zones" which has nothing to do withthe change?

According to http://www.timarusouth.school.nz/Web/50/ the Timaru South School also has a Paeroa East site so I think it's correct

Hi welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits. Rather than drawing footpaths as seperate ways usual practice in NZ is to add sidewalk tags to the existing road. See sidewalk=*

Are you sure these are paths for non-motorised vehicles? (highway=path) From the aerial imagery they appear to be driveways (service=driveway)

Welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits. A couple of points: please don't put descriptions like "private' in the name, it is reserved for names only. Also this is still tagged as access=yes which contradicts it being private. Simillary operator=DOC is inconsistent with it being private
