Hi,
there is a second canadian embassy node in Harare.
node/282873219
Can you tell which is wrong?

relation/6079340/history
way/405625151/history

not a tragedy :-)

Bing imagery was captured mid 2013
That means we dont know exactly how this area is looking like right now.
When splitting the road, you should also add "oneway=yes". (Zimbabwe is a left hand traffic country) Some roads (way/406830846) must be connected to both sides. Please check also the ref tag and the relation membership.

unclassified is definitely wrong

a straight line is defined by two nodes

This is what i mean
way/403432299
this road is most likely only a driveway.
Towards the mainroad it looks like there is a kind of gate. Behind the houses it has clearly no connecting character, You should tag it as a track. You missed to connect it to the mainroad and your tile neighbour has not noticed that.

please look beyond the tile borders.
I hope you don't mind

Hello Susan,
I would like to give you some hints about interpreting Sat images and the area you are mapping.
before adding more data I would check what can be improoved on the existing Features. First most roads have an offset, because the were drawn after previous imagery. Second There is still a highway tagged as "road". You should try to change that to a more reasonable tag. After that you search for the most interesting features in this area. With all the pitches it is most probaly a school (way/403204896) Thats far more interresting than some privat pools.
Here are some things that I would like to see corrected:
You moved that node away from a tree shadow
node/292372748
You connected Kelvedon Avenue with Harlow Avenue. That is correct in principle. But this connection should be tagged as "path" or "footway" You can link also Gosfield Avenue with Maldon Avenue in a similary way.
I wouldnt consider this tracks on the schoolyard as very important, but when adding, I would assume that they are connected underneath the tree.
I hope this will help you with your further edits

That's great!

Use JOSM!
estimate the width of the roads with the measurement plugin.
Tag every road less than 2m as path. Apply "simplify way" to get rid of superfluous nodes

It will appear on the map when you add a landuse tag.
landuse=farmyard
for exsample

Thomas,
as far as I understand the wiki addr:housenumber can either be used in conjunction with addr:street or addr:place, in case the street name is not a part of the address.
When using the building tag we will get a wrong counting for buildings and with the name tag we would run into conflicts with already named buildings like churches or shops. So in my opinion , like you already suggested, it would be best to place a address node or add the information to one or more existing house shapes.
Regards Ralf

Hi, josm should tell you, that it is not correct to place a building node inside a building way. Why can't you use "addr:housenumber", as everywhere else in the world and also in Dvizarasekwa?

36885723

switch background layer to mapbox or Digital Globe as recommended here: http://tasks.hotosm.org/project/1417#task/46
when mapping arround Guro. This bright bing pixel is most likely only a small cloud.

36814869

please add a place tag
(place=village or place=hamlet)

36814950

please use amenity=school instead of area=yes and your edit will appear on the map
