When splitting a way, the first segment of the way automatically retains the history meaning I have to reverse the way to get it on the other segment. I reverse the way back right afterwards.

The connectors between the airplane and the main building are seperate buildings and if you notice that they intersect a service way incorrectly, then you can add min_level and layer tags accordingly.
