Hi, you added wheelchair=no to a path? What does that mean?

I just started a tagging discussion of how to define a pond in an observable way.

FWIW I agree that way/9653990 looks more like a pond. But it could have been a lake that was shaped by humans and thus not "man-made" completely.

IMO pond should not be mapped because it is not observable on the ground. A lake defined as a water body completely encased in land is observable on the other hand. The hard part of this quest to tag lakes was to handle all the improperly tagged waterways, reservoirs, etc in e.g. Balkan.

I realized half way in that 1) the definition of pond/lake is subjective on the wiki. Thus the whole idea of discerning lakes from other waterbodies is moot as long as the definitions are crap. "A pond: a body of standing water, man-made in most cases, that is usually smaller than a lake." This is impossible to work with for me.
You can delete the source:lake, the validation fixes was only related to the multipolygons of some lakes.

Hi Polarbear. Correct, this was done before I was aware of the mechanical edits process and disadvantages. I personally find it valuable to be able to distinguish between different bodies of inland water. It should probably be reverted until a mechanical edit is agreed upon.
Because of the validation fixes the revert is probably best done by removing the tags only and not reverting the whole changeset.

Oh, thank you for the information. Maybe you should switch to OsmAnd, which is also free software. I have the version from f-droid and adding POIs work very well. 😃
