Changeset When Comment

Hm, i probably forgot that it changes from residential to track. In Marshall county because there is decent quality imagery of Maxar, I could trace where it's really tertiary/residential or track. Because of the OSM wiki, all County Roads are marked as tertiary, so I make them all tertiary, except when it's really not a normal road.

OK, Hungary is maybe a different example, but even small roads (way/41194682) are classified as tertiary which literally connect just the village into the secondary road(that connects 2 secondary class roads, but because of OSM, it's marked as primary).
Btw the road I linked there doesn't have sign about the ref, it only exists in the official database, and it doesn't have high traffic.

I had a lot of conflict during deletion, i deleted a huge forest area (which will be redrawn once but i deleted it because i splitted up forest areas, just i didn't have time to split that part (the part is between WV 3 and WV 99) . I also added some lanes with their names from TIGER Roads. I hope i didn't cause any more conflicts as of now (because JOSM warned me about a dozen)

The changeset comment would be that I wanted to split up forests and aligned some roads, but I have many many conflicts during deletion because for now I delete one part of the forest out there (which will be redrawn once just because i want to split it up and it takes a lot of time)

Javítás: a csocsaj pékség itt kézileg lett hozzáadva általam (ami azóta persze megszűnt itt), illetve most jártam a Batthyány - Rákóczi utca környékén, így azoknak a házszámozása jó, de ahol találtam házszámot, azt hozzáadtam. (Batthyány 9/A és 6/A)

For some reason i couldn't close the changeset, so I had to tackle with it

Oh yes, by the way it's not a problem if you cleanup after me, I appreciate it if it's made better. Maybe it causes a little bit of hassle. Btw, check out your dms in Slack.

Actually saying, in Coshocton Ohio it's good to have the Esri Imagery because it uses leaf-on imagery of Maxar, not leaf off, the leaf-on area is pretty unaligned

98144105

Yeah, though i checked out and Esri out there is kindof old, more like 10+ years old, that's why I want to reference from NAIP, because that's the most recent one. Mapbox uses Maxar too, but it's a little bit more blurry. I wish Esri made newer imagery lol. Oh yeah, today i made around 10k+ changes XD

Note. even if the forest area almost covers 3 counties, the landuses still have to be drawn, and I didn't want my computer to lock up, so I upload the changeset first, then I do it in several parts. Roads maybe aligned somewhen.

98144105

Okay, where i can see leaf-on Maxar imagery, that means it's recent, but for example in Rock Creek it's like 10 years old. (leaf-off imagery)

Also for inaccurity, I used fastdraw in JOSM to draw the areas, because I hate when I have to "click click click" a dozen, it's enough to say that I did Marshall County WV with this method and it's aint good :D My other project is Coshocton County Ohio, but that's pretty much well done where I mapped. I'll look through the mines and align them where I can. NAIP is the most recent imagery by the way around the Marsh Fork area, that's why I trace from that.

98144105

It was traced from NAIP, but i haven't finished it yet, I'm going to update it. I use fastdraw and I was noticed that it's kindof a bit inaccurate, but I'll expand it just because of the massive size of the forest it's not easy to draw it, and also i want to add the landuses as well in the area, I plan going upwards Eskdale then go down to Beckley. I'm working on this with RoccoAWD who maps the buildings, me the forests. I'm aware of it, don't worry. just the amount of the coal mines are a lot.
Also, for a changeset i'm not planning to go beyond 2-3 or 4k changes. :)

Az előző állapot a FÖMI ortofotó 2007-2010-es légifelvételen látszik, de az már régi :)

For some of the creeks I used Stamen Terrain for drawing the path for them

/road classification/

97268202

For roads I used the existing OSM data but also I used TIGER Roads 2019 (just forgot to source it)

96660237

Note that i had to shift Maxar for a bit(like 4 meters to match the GPS tracks a bit there) for mapping US 250, but otherwise i used unshifted imagery.

I also aligned Grave Creek, that's why the changeset is a bit big in the county.

*the area = Marshall County and basically area around that!

93947382

Woah, that's cool that not only i'm the one who is remapping the area. Well done! Also I see that you realigned the roads which is a crucial thing because of the early TIGER imports, it's a tedious job i know but still it's much better when we see the roads aligned. :)
