The data for Princes Street states:

"Princes Street is no longer the A8 see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A8_road_(Scotland)"

However, OS Open Roads apparently still has it has an A road.

I have looked at the Wikipedia change, which was made in this revision:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=A8_road_(Scotland)&diff=prev&oldid=74011489

but there is no reference given.

SABRE Roads similarly has no reference given as to the claim of declassification:
https://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=A8

Can anyone find a definitive statement that Princes Street is no longer an A road? Currently we have the official OS data saying it is, and a Wikipedia reference saying it isn't, and nothing more.
