I understand, thanks for responding! The instructions in the challenge are to check the locations visually because the rollout of the brand change wasn't instantaneous and complete. I'm sure this location has probably updated its branding, but we didn't do a mass remote edit because we weren't actually sure about each particular location. So every location has a challenge, but we were holding off on editing every single one until we knew for sure.

Hi there, thank you for adding your business to Open Street Map! Please be aware that the description field is not used for advertising, but only to describe things that aren't obvious from the other tags. I've fixed this and other errors, like using a standardized address without abbreviations, using the dentist healthcare tags, and moving your POI to be inside the building instead of attached to it.

Please let me know if "Northeast State Highway 99W" isn't the best name for the street your business is on. Highways can have multiple names which makes addresses confusing, but in Openstreetmap we at least try to avoid abbreviations like "N Hwy 99W."

Disconnected cart paths generate warnings, but if it's the best representation we have of the reality on the ground then that's what we've got to work with. If you find an official map of the course or know where carts are supposed to go, connecting them can be great, otherwise there's no problem with how they currently are.

The reason to not connect stuff is, if you move one it affects the other. So i.e. I expanded the course to fit the features, and bits of sand trap and fairway were getting pulled with it.

Thanks for your contributions! Be sure to not connect features together unless they're truly physically connected in the real world: I separated out the golf course boundary from the fairways and cart paths. Also feel free to expand the boundaries to match the map: the eastern third of the mapped course was outside the boundary so I expanded the boundary. Finally, for any kind of GPS to work paths need to be connected even if it doesn't 100% match up to the aerial image, so I connected some cart paths to the parking lot and each other. There were some cart paths along the southern edge that I couldn't tell how they connected, but if there is a preferred path network it'd be a good idea to fully map that in case any golfers use GPS to get around.

Hiya! I'm auditing speed limits in Salem. Can I ask what the source of these speed limits were? I'm having trouble actually finding many speed limit signs downtown for example.

Gotcha. The legal access is via Northwest Fair Oaks Drive, right? There were some trails up there that were overlapping but not actually connected so I connected them.

Ok! I just edited the boundary based on city GIS data which is presumably as accurate as it'll get.

Ok thanks! Amazon (#amap) added them likely because they were necessary to deliver a package, so I'll re-add them but mark them as private so that any decent GPS app will not suggest using it. (We shouldn't delete things that exist, because they'll just be treated as missing and re-added later, rather we can just tag them appropriately to match reality.)

Is there any way of accessing the MiLK trail from the west side? Maybe Kestrel Hill Ln or Windsor Place or Grandview Dr? Or is it just a single entrance loop off Fair Oaks Dr?

Hiya thanks for your contributions! In this changeset it looks like you adjusted the boundaries of the OSU forest, but also modified the city limits (Corvallis administrative boundary) in the process. Was this intentional?

Just to confirm, when you deleted these driveways was it because you were physically there and know there is no passable road here? Usually #amap is pretty okay about noting roads where they exist. If you just think people shouldn't walk or drive down the path, but a path does exist, then there's other ways of tagging that.

It looks like you did a bunch of good work mapping a new trail! I think I see the problem and I'll take care of it. Here's the correct border in red according to the newest TIGER census data, which means the city border hasn't been correct in a while ;) no worries!

In the future to prevent this just double check the list of changed things before you hit upload, and double-check what all is attached to stuff like landuses and roads at the edge of town cuz sometimes people (misguidedly?) merge them with administrative boundaries. Happy mapping!
