you have mapped Better Pets and Gardens on top of the Bunnings warehouse. This seems unlikely. What is the true situation with the shops here?

I’m happy with the result, especially as there has been no response from the op offering a way forward. I’ll fix up some of the other tags in the next week or so.

If ArtWalk SHAC2022 was a permanent feature all the venues could be tagged as art displays with opening hours, etc and a local walking route mapped for the area but it seems to a short term event. I expect that uMap or similar would suit them well. There seem a few sites advertising the events.

Perhaps we could use the ref tag as you have suggested until after the event is complete and then return OSM to normal.

I would favour deletion of all stuff that doesn’t fit in OSM as there are many other better options to cater for their needs as I see it.

I would prefer that only concrete footways found in urban streets were tagged with highway=footway.
I prefer ways in bush areas such as this were tagged with highway=path plus
the other usual bush walk tags if useful.

Other than that It looks like you improved the accuracy of the trail by using your gps to good effect.

If you have managed to find a good alternative way to display your info, I would like to return the OSM values to their usual format.

this is an operational map.
If you want to make your own map display these points you could try using http://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/ where you can use the OSM as a background map and all your points of interest on top.
Do you wish me to revert what you have added to the OSM?

I fixed a power line and pole you accidentally dragged and added the grassed area encompassing the bridleway

You need to have a physical office to map to in OSM. If you are online only then you need to choose another mapping service Google seems to allow online only advertising.

can you have another look at the new road construction here using more up to date satellite imagery from Maxar.
Howe Street seems to be part of or joins Flax Way instead of separate roads as you have drawn it.

Just thinking about your mapping...
You may find that uMap http://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/ may suit your needs better that adding those edits directly to the OSM.
uMap allows you to use the OSM as a background and you add all the stuff relavent to ARTWALK SHAC 2022 on top of the map.
I haven't used uMap but it is often recommended for mapping similar things that you doing.
