If not for forestry, maybe natural=wood would be suitable.

landuse=forest is meant for land used for forestry operations. If this is not the case you might like to refer to the wiki to use something more appropriate.

I think you will find that the DigitalGlobe Standard Imagery is more recent and better aligned with gpx and Strava than Bing. I expect that the DigitalGlobe Standard Imagery is quite close in this area and does not need aligning any further.

the items you are mapping are not suitable for the OSM. They need to be physical features generally and have real geographical information. A poi with just a website and description or such info attached to an unrelated poi is considered spam. I think that such edits are likely ok to put on Google maps.
