in mid-2024 I had surveyed Cooma Street / Old Cooma Road as maxspeed 50 (had presumably previously been 60).

In mid-2024 I had surveyed (from Farrer Place to the roundabout with Yass Road / Ellerton Drive) as maxspeed 50. I didn't check the section east of the roundabout on that trip.

in mid-2024 I had surveyed Canberra Avenue and Farrer Place as maxspeed 50 (had presumably previously been 60).

Hobbys Yards Road (28868087), as well as adding a maxspeed, you've added ref=B64 (route number for Mid Western Highway). The southern section entering Trunkey Creek is likely to be maxspeed 50 (would need survey).

In 2021, I surveyed this section having different maxspeeds in each direction. Assuming this is still the case, your edit here is confusing (implying the same speed each way).

Shiralee Road 1151952972 - maxspeed was reduced from 80 to 50 in 2023. NSW Speed Data currently has (incorrectly) 60.
Bylong Valley Way (145555798) maxspeed was reduced from 80 to 70 in 2023. NSW Speed Data currently has 70.
Are you using an out-of-date version of NSW Speed Data?

It's been a while since I've been there, but the Shell / Coles Express stations seem to have consistent signage, with the Shell logo on top, and Coles Express below this (I've generally used Shell for amenity=fuel, and Coles Express for the associated convenience store). I looked at the Bathurst Shell/Coles Express today on the way to work, and this is how it is signed. Google images (not a valid source!) show similar signage in Port Macquarie. Hope that helps.

I've just reverted this changeset - see changeset/161665924.

1. The maxspeed through Nimmitabel had been previously changed at changeset changeset/108249041 with comment "Updated road to new posted speed of 50km/h (from 60 km/h)" (implying an official maxspeed change in or prior to July 2021)
2. When I travelled through Nimmitabel in November 2024, the road was signposted maxspeed 50.
3. Many of your other edits have been "based on NSW Speed Data". You didn't state the source of your edit for this changeset (despite me asking you twice), but if you did, the maxspeed on the NSW Speed Data map is currently 50 (not 60).
4. Your edit left a 200m section of the highway at maxspeed=50 (implausible)

For your information, I have noticed some errors in the maxspeeds on the NSW Speed Data Map, so it's probably best not to rely on this as a data source. Another user in the last few years was using this data source, with mixed results (some were correct, but some were not).

I surveyed the maxspeeds through Nimmitabel on 10 November 2024 - maxspeeds were 50. You've increased part of the highway to maxspeed 60. What was the source of your information? Was it NSW Speed Data?

Thanks for reverting this. I was in Armidale last week and saw no sign of any of these 'under construction' roads
