mike wain | At this point there is a locked gate because the 'roads' to NW and SW are both Footpaths and not legal for motor traffic. My open map based sat nav routed me through this illegal and impassable route today. Please correct the permissions on these 2 stretches of lane to correct this. Submitted on behalf of the Trail Riders Fellowship.

Back Lane is a Restricted Byway so not legal for through motor traffic. Please adjust the permissions as my open map based sat nav tried to route me up it today. Luckily I noticed the sign and understood what it meant and avoided breaking the law. North Croft (the E end of the same lane) is not a RB and is legal for motor traffic, as is the Byway Open To All Traffic heading N (brown dot/dash line). Where that meets Back Lane/North Croft is where the RB ends.

mike wain | This access road that you just got as a dotted line is the same road as the comment just to the S from this pin running N. It's an unclassified road, full tarmac single width with passing places in gateways, etc. Where the dotted line continues SW, the dotted line is probably right as that is not tarmac and is not a road. Haycrock Farm is at this point.

mike wain | This footpath allowed my route planner to plot a cycling track along it - which would be illegal.

mike wain | This route through is private with no PROW but currently seems to allow route planning apps to route along it in preference to the more direct bridleway to the S. The owners have had to put up extensive signage to stop access.
