Hi Road_Star_208,
Many of your changesets have the comment: "updated", "added" and even "added and updated".
You might consider improving those comments because they don't tell much to other mappers. They have to open that changeset and check all the individual parts.
Why not "added Shadows Park" or "added amenity=full"?
All mappers are always either updating or adding, so helping each other with better comments, is very much appreciated. You can read that here:

You don't understand the way tags are to be used, as now all of your changes are invalid!
It should be:
highway=path
access=private
And never use a name=* to describe other properties.

The best plan is this:
I revert all the deletions you did, whereafter you can add the proper access rights to those paths.
Trails on private land can best be tagged with access=private. Don't delete anything.

Hello TaxusB,
OSM uses the "on the ground" principle. This means that objects, roads, paths, rivers and so on, which are visible in the landscape, are indeed drawn on the map.
Those rules are described here:
osm.wiki/Ground_truth
But the fact that a road is on the map does not mean that it is accessible to everyone!
OSM uses the so called access rights, and with that we can clearly indicate that a road is only accessible for e.g. the owner, or for fire and police.
The roads you removed were marked as highway=path, without any restrictions. But by adding access=permit or access=forestry, the access for those paths can be restricted.
Other mapmakers who use OSM as a bais will then know not to include those paths in their route proposals.
Here you can see the different options that are used for access rights:
access=*#List_of_possible_values

Especially for emergencies (think ambulances or fire department) it is important that all roads and paths are on the map. OSM is very widely used by such organizations and often base their private maps on OSM.

I recommend that you undo the deletions you have made and provide the paths with the appropriate access rights. If you do not know how to do such a "revert", the DWG can do it for you.
