yes, they are optional but I find them useful. I'd changed the label to place=region for testing and that seems to have worked.

In the moment I'm a bit confused too... Huanggang City relation/3144169
does not render label but Xianning City relation/3106518 does - both are admin_level=5... :o I'll have a closer look into this tomorrow and if I do not find a solution I'll ask in #osm chat channel.

244082127 is the city centre with role of admin_centre; 5907547712 is for the label... some users tend to label the townhall with admin_centre but then one would need to know where the townhall exactly is... :/

The latter two are indead duplicates which I hadn't noticed being dupl. - on the other side the location is unclear: baidu and zh.wiki with wikidata put the town near node/2398361215 while the most 'official' site http://map.tianditu.gov.cn/ puts the town near node/5907547710. If you know more feel free to correct this ;)

Bu arada bana göre mahallelerin admin_level=10 yerinde 8 daha doğru görüyorum; mahallenin semt admin_level=10 olabilir. Bir de Mah. yerinde Mahallesi yazıyorsa daha iyi görünür
