I appreciate that it's not feasible to look at the changeset description for every object in view before making changes. I'm looking for ways to clearly express when on-the-ground features diverge from aerial imagery, since it's ambiguous to the next person who comes along what needs to be changed. I'm trying to use `demolished:highway=*` as an indicator that what's visible in the aerials might not be up to date.

1) Firwood Drive is very close but not connected to Bower Hill Road. Please be careful as this changeset broke routing.

2) This change is based on outdated imagery. North Wren Drive and Firwood Drive connect at a point, and the parking to the west no longer exists. My prior edit to North Wren Drive had a comment of "they moved north wren", but is there a way I could have expressed myself more clearly?

ideally someone should import the official data with leisure=nature_reserve, and tag specific areas as natural=wood or leisure=park as appropriate.

The main point here is that unincorporated communities and census-designated places — even though they are locally known as towns and villages, and have post offices and addresses — are not "administrative boundaries" and therefore don't have a value for admin_level at all. The actual administrative boundaries are defined by state law, and OSM establishes a uniform numbering for these across all the different jurisdictions.

As far as I know, Pennsylvania is pretty uniform. What's different about Monroe County?

As far as I know, they stay outside of incorporated cities and boroughs, but I'm not sure, and that doesn't really matter.

Unfortunately, a long time ago, CDPs were imported as boundary=administrative,admin_level=8, which isn't right. They should be changed to boundary=census.

pennsylvania's townships are 8, not 7.

Importing townships from TIGER 2017. The existing data was from TIGER 2008, but only included cities and boroughs. Generally speaking this replaces geometry on the existing boundaries with the newer data. The county boundaries in some cases are glued to the rivers, in which case I tried to leave them intact. Where the counties run freely I also replaced them.

This trashed some data where nodes were shared between admin ways and other ways (usually roads). I learned a bit about the "replace geometry" tool.
