I think the problem is more how to connect wholesale to shop to hardware.
If I make a fake 'groothandel' in iD I get this:
shop=wholesale
name=abc
wholesale=hardware
- -
The shop=wholesale tells it sells to companies etc only.

Your version has shop is hardware, which would indicate that it sells to public.

This is not a shop selling to persons. It is a wholesale, only selling to companies. Selling to companies is wholesale (groothandel in Dutch).

Helaas is dit niet de manier waarop je bedrijven kunt laten verhuizen. OSM kent geen 'coördinaten' bij adressen. Nu zijn de adresgegevens op de Boomsluiterkade verloren gegaan, maar staat de beautysalon er nog steeds (gedeeltelijk).

Voor een verhuizing kopieer je de 'winkel'gegevens naar de ontvangende adresnode. Daarna haal je de winkelgegevens weg bij de vertrekkende adresnode. De adresgegevens laat je op de node staan.

Ik zal zo de veranderingen terug proberen te draaien. Als jij dan de gegevens van Bella verplaatst naar de Herengracht komt alles weer in orde.

The cause of the strange sizes is that Kadaster (National Registry) measured the building in this way. Not logical, but yeah :-( . An elegant solution might be using building parts (but I've never used that so I can't help with that).

You should not reshape the building by hand. If I revert your changes the original form will reappear. Give me a few minutes.

I checked a few town halls around me. Saw no pink colors, except when there were shops inside.
I don't think anyone in Holland will see a town hall as "used for commercial purposes" as explained here: landuse=commercial (US views might differ.)

In Holland we use the official data from Kadaster to import buildings, not what one might see from above. Nor do we place adresses on the building itself: the adress is already in the adressnode.
Could you be so kind to revert your changes?

(BTW: not everyone will be happy about English names for buildings etc.).

Voor vervolgbewerkingen is het niet handig om woongebieden vast te maken aan wegen e.d. Ik heb e.e.a. losgemaakt / opnieuw ingetekend / andere dingen uitgelijnd.
(Den Haag heeft veel woongebied dat vastzit aan wegen. Helaas is dat een erfenis uit het verleden :-( Beetje bij beetje verdwijnt er wel wat.)

Wat desk research gedaan. Volgens de kvk is het filiaal al tijden dicht. Obliekjes laten een zelfde beeld zien: wel RABO-blauw en/of Geldmaat-geel in de zijstraat, en een oranje bord op de luifel. Het filiaal is ooit op een niet-BAG-node toegevoegd en -denk ik- daardoor ontsnapt aan updates, want het is nu een restaurant Surinees. Ik stel voor: node verwijderen.
