Thanks for adding the new place!

Ah, I see the note here: note/4533971

If people go through the effort of mapping the loop as a more precise way than a single node with a `turning_loop` tag, why not keep it?

Why did you remove this tree? It seems that it was surveyed and exists in imagery.

I reverted this in changeset/159969156.

Hello, there was some construction that finished recently (in the last few weeks) that removed all of these slip lanes. See Jordan's change here: https://osmcha.org/changesets/159745769

FYI Lyft just added back one of the slip lanes here: https://osmcha.org/changesets/159963210

Do you happen to have a post-construction photo from this intersection?

How was it? Excited to visit asap.

Now add addresses :-)

Hah, not this trip! I was giving a demo of EveryDoor to someone that lives in the neighborhood :)

Hello! There are several "parkways" around the cities that are considered parks, even though they are mostly roads. We map them as park areas to show that they're operated by the parks and rec department.

Hi there, driveways are useful and important information to include in OpenStreetMap. Please don't delete them.

I reverted this because you added too many small pieces of landuse. Please add one contiguous area that matches the landuse instead of many smaller, different shapes.

When you typed "Clough" for the address it should have shown a drop-down for the roads nearby, one of which is "Clough Street". It's important to have the street name fully spelled out without any contractions. It's all good though – I fixed it for ya.

Hi there! Welcome to OSM and thanks for adding to the map.

When you add an address, make sure the street name in the address field matches the street name on the nearby road.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello!

Please be careful when you're making a change to a lot of objects. In this case, you added the address to the nodes that make up the ways instead of just the ways.

Also, street names should have the unabbreviated name of the street. 28th Avenue North is the correct name of the street, not 28th Ave N.

Thanks for pointing that out, Will. I was riding in an Uber and mapping stuff as we drove past, so it could very well be that EveryDoor hadn't finished loading new data. I deleted the two dupes you pointed out.

Nice catch. Thanks for looking into it.

It looks like you missed a couple flyover/bridges on this change

What you're describing is known as "Tagging for the Renderer" (see osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer).

OpenStreetMap would rather have correct data in its database than a single correct rendering of the map data. In this specific case, this object is a sports pitch for American football. It is not a water reservoir. Yes, the default map style on osm.org renders pitches with a green color, but if color is important to you, then the correct thing to do is to set up your own rendering pipeline and render the field using the desired color.
