That way the corners will be properly squared. It also looks like you forgot to mark these as houses. Don't forget to tell us what kind of object you're mapping.

I gotcha. I would say you could map that area as landuse=grass and put a historic marker down for the stone that has the placard on it. Traditionally OSM only maps parks that are recognized or maintained by some government entity.

I don't see this park mentioned anywhere on the internet other than an Ingress page. I don't see it listed on Wausau's parks website (http://www.ci.wausau.wi.us/Departments/Parks/ParksandFacilities/WausauParks.aspx). When you say it's considered a park, what do you mean?

When adding a house to the map, please make sure it follows the contours of the house based on the satellite imagery. I'll correct this one for you.

Please don't add fake parks to the map.
