| 2856315 | kreuzschnabel | Someone drew a path across Birkett Lane here 2 years ago, maybe to close the gap in the Great North Trail. That would mean Merrygill Viaduct is spanning over Birkett Lane as well. I just don’t think it is, or is it really? |

| 3511671 | SK53 | Very sceptical about this path. My slope analysis shows this to be pretty steep ground, and it is unconnected from any other paths. |

| 3505939 | Over the years there have been numerous rescues on this path by Keswick Mountain Rescue. The path should be deleted from OSM to reduce the number call outs. The preferred route to Barf summit is by Beckstones Gill. There are signs at the base of the hill pointing people towards Beckstone Gill. The path does not feature on the 1:25000 OS map. | 3504757 | This path does not exist and unfortunately walkers using OpenStreetMap mapping through apps like AllTrails have had to be rescued at this exact spot using ropes and harnesses. This path needs removing between the The Bishop of Barf and the summit of Barf, especially where it crosses Slape Crag as it misleads walkers into believing there is a path. The following mountain rescue report refers to one incident at this spot |
