Also, I noticed Tunel de Daza along the bypass has motor_vehicle=no. Aerial imagery shows cars using the road leading to the tunnel, I’m going to remove that tag if it’s okay.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you link to the page you are referring to?

Carciofo, thank you for clarifying trunk highway modeling. Could you provide a link to the government resource you are referencing? Also, would you prefer to update the highway classifications around Pasto or would you like me to update them?

Hello again, carciofo. I adjusted the route for the trunk highway to more directly connect to the city of Pasto. This is based on my understanding of trunks found on the “Guide for Mapping in Colombia” (osm.wiki/Guide_for_mapping_in_Colombia) which says trunk can connect to major state capitals. The description did not mention anything about trunks circumnavigating major cities.

Hello carciofo. The Colombian definition of Trunk found here (osm.wiki/Guide_for_mapping_in_Colombia) mentions that a trunk highway can connect to “state" capitals, in addition to major ports or international borders. Since Colombia does not have “states” I understood the definition to be discussing department capitals, like Montería, instead.

I connected Montería to the trunk network, due to it being the capital of the Department of Córdoba and its large population size (~455,000). I made this change to reflect the Colombia definition of Trunk found here: osm.wiki/Guide_for_mapping_in_Colombia. Specific portion of the policy I was referring to: “highway=trunk. National trunk roads ("troncales" and "transversales") are defined by the Colombian Transport Ministry as primary roads which start at international border crossings and connect major state capitals and/or ports.”

Will do, thanks

Thank you for the feedback. The edits were based on my interpretation of Chilean highway guidelines (osm.wiki/ES:Chile:Map_Features “Calles” table). However, are there local highway policies which may overrule those guidelines?
