On relation/16335611, you seem to have double-mapped the track with different tag values, the relation says lanes=8, but way/1208136244 says lanes=4. Could you please add the correct number of lanes to the relation and remove the tags from the ways? Thanks!

Because the track is already mapped as a multipolygon, so also making a way is considered a violation of the one element, one feature rule. This is documented under the Possible Tagging Mistakes section of the leisure=track wiki page: leisure=track#Possible_Tagging_Mistakes

Please never do this again in Michigan. I am watching these, and I will be reverting any deletions you make, because I would rather fix the bad tagging than delete it outright. So to save time for both of us, either fix the tags or leave it alone. Thanks!

You seem to have a very selfish view of OSM. It doesn't exist for your golf game, it's a worldwide mapping database, and there are agreed upon rules to follow, one of which is that the ref tag is numbers only on a golf hole

Again, it's more about being considerate of others, it's not a race to map as fast as possible.

The previous mapper probably just only had time to do the greens, there's no rule that you have to finish a golf course once you start, any little bit helps

It's really less about it hurting you and more about being considerate of the other mappers who will modify it after you. Also you can take a break and leave the editor tab open, and then come back to it once you're ready to start again
