For this task, you should merge the existing reservoir node with the new area you drew. You can do this in Rapid/iD by selecting both, right clicking, and selecting "merge".

You removed building tags from a lot of objects in this changeset - it's fine to have man_made=* along with a building tag. Also, it might be better to tag the outer way as man_made=water_works and tag the buildings themselves as building=industrial or similar.

dog trainers should be tagged as amenity=animal_training + animal_training=dog , not as dog parks

consider using footway=link or cycleway=link for these "virtual" ways for network connectivity

I reverted these edits because you are adding ways with no tags on top of existing roadways. I encourage you to do the built-in editor tutorial, and take a look at the wiki ( osm.wiki/ )
