By "square" I mean it makes the corners all right angles, not just drawing squares. Tracing the roof is definitely preferred to drawing only squares.

I see. If it's still used, you can set it to highway=track and access=private. This way someone won't accidentally re-add it without the local knowledge you have.

This looks like a stormwater detention site rather than a wetland. See the wiki for how to tag this, instead: basin=detention
