Hi,

I have receved no further feedback across any other worldwide changesets related to this project. It will be resumed. Please direct any further feedback to the fourm page,https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/mass-partially-automated-edit-of-solar-panel-tags-worldwide/130200

Thanks, Phoebe

I'm not sure if you saw my earlier message but i'll try get a waiver from Stats NZ for OSM. changeset/170543166

Hi, I'm aware theres some other quality issues around this import that need to be discussed first before resuming however I can maybe help out with licensing. I live quite close to a Statistics NZ office and are happy to go there next week and try get the waver signed for CC 4.0. Data has been imported into OSM from them before but that was under CC 2.0 - 3.0. CC 4.0 has different attribution requirements that unfortunately require a waver for OSM saying they accept the way OSM attributes them. For now as ❤️‍🔥 said, please hold off importing further data until more discussion takes place.

Thanks, Phoebe

Hi Poncratis,

Are you able to clarify if there are any other sources you are using? Bing aerial imagery in this area isn't high enough resolution for the detail you are mapping at, and some other features such as small bare rock, meadow, wood and scrub areas seem too small to be viable. I'm concerned you may be mapping for the renderer rather than mapping what is actually visable on aerial imagery.

Thanks, Phoebe

Hi, are you able to provide more information about why this section should be tagged as trunk road instead of a motorway? There has been discussion about it in note note/2670467. Thanks!

Hi, are you able to confirm why you added "ciment stone" to addr:unit? I see you already added building:material=stone which is the correct way to tag it

For further context for anyone else looking into this, this seems to be caused by the mapwithai JOSM plugin rather than JOSM itself. The source tags were added at upload so I never got a chance to see them. It's also been very intermittent, only happening to some changesets. I've been having several issues with my current workflow involving mapwithai for importing LINZ buildings, when they affect the uploaded data that isn't acceptable so I've stopped importing for now until I can find a better workflow.

thanks for removing the additional tags!

Im not sure whats going on here either, I'll try look into it more. The spikes are all legitimate edits, I have been importing a lot of LINZ buildings recently, and have creates a pretty fast workflow for verifiying them. What seems to have happened is that mapwithai josm plugin has added source=esri to the nodes on new buildings I've uploaded. These are all new nodes so it hasnt created any more edits than expected but im not sure why these nodes have had the source tag added.

Thanks! Sorry im not sure what happened there :(

Hi,

This was discussed in the forum post, and my reply about why I thought this method would be more acceptable received a thumbs up from the person who wrote the feedback, which I took to mean they agreed with me. I will stop doing these edits in Germany while I await further community response, thanks for your concern. Sorry I'm not fluent enough in German to write this, but please find a machine translated version below.

"dies wurde im Forumsbeitrag besprochen, und meine Antwort, in der ich erklärte, warum ich diese Methode für besser halte, erhielt ein "Daumen hoch" von der Person, die das Feedback gegeben hat. Das habe ich als Zustimmung gewertet. Ich werde diese Bearbeitungen in Deutschland vorerst einstellen, bis es weitere Rückmeldungen aus der Community gibt. Danke für deinen Hinweis."

Thanks, Phoebe

Wrong changeset description sorry, should be "Add missing tags to solar panels, remap when needed. See forum post https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/mass-partially-automated-edit-of-solar-panel-tags-worldwide/130200 and wiki osm.wiki/Automated_edits/catgirlseraid"

I have no problems if you want to remove them, maybe best to reach out to the original mapper first though?

The water tagging seems to be part of a preset i was using sorry, natural=water removed from both this area and the nearby one i also fixed in this changeset changeset/167383324 . Thanks for noticing and pointing it out <3

I'm unsure about the sport=surfing without a name too. This was a node converted to an area as part of a area=yes on nodes cleanup, it wasn't creating any new information. This is the ID of the original node node/12036802068

Hi,

Welcome to OSM! Thank you for adding your business. I've added the opening hours and social media links from your website in this changeset, changeset/166999394. If any of the information is incorrect, or you would like help with anything in OSM please comment and I'm happy to help.

Thanks, Phoebe

Hi,

I've gone back through and added any pedestrian and footway areas back, along with cleaning up a few other missing sections of landuse, returning deleted buildings that exist on updated aerial imagery and removed single member multipolygons left behind. Changeset: changeset/166970036. I then went back through using as many sources as I could find and converted most of the natural=wood areas, especially the small ones into a series of natural=tree nodes. Changeset: changeset/166974580 and changeset/166974943. Please comment if there's any further issues.

Thanks, Phoebe

Hi,

The photo you sent appears to be from 2007, and using latest aerial imagery that area seems to be covered in scrub now under the scaffolding, which i chose not to tag as its a temporary feature. If you have more modern images of the entrance, preferably without the scaffolding in the way, which i wasn't able to find, please do retag this area.

Thanks, Phoebe
