Hi, in iD you can draw an area and choose the "Construction" preset. It will apply the tag `landuse=construction`.

Welcome and thank you for your contribution to openstreetmap! There does not appear to be a path here on the most recent 2015 NJ Aerial imagery.

Please add only features that exist in the real world. There are plenty of nearby paths and sidewalks around this area, and I'll add a few for you so that you can see what they might look like when mapped properly. Thanks again :)
