Is there a way to remove this change set altogther? The reason is that the base change set that introoduced the points was removed and a new set of change sets of change sets with typpified items will initialize everything correctly. Keeping the change set (where things are still in error) will make it extremely difficult to avoid duplicates. Sorry.......

Hello, I have received an official list of peaks for north East Greenland and was intending to import when I found that some were already there. As I do not want to spoil anything I would like to knw what is your source, in particular with coordinates. Just so that we leave the best possible data on the map.
PS: I have written data permission.

I do know how to comment to others. Apparently in this instance something unexpected happened, although I do not know what, because now everything is correct and the proper names are there.
But I am an extremely curious person, and always appreciate operationel advice. In particular I like having someone more experienced to ask. Maybe it is just a matter of posing an idea or how-to question on the real user blog...

Don't know the relation to this. What I do know over (Scoresby Sund) there was that I tried to pu correct names on Kaasarip Nasaa and Ujuaakajiip Nunaa. They were called Storo and Denmark Island which is incorrect and somewhat offending to the inuit population. One thing more about Scoresby Sund: On OSM it is set to include a lot of sounds and fjords that actually have their own names - ref. my removed change sets. It is beyond my skills to set them correct. Can only drop points to show where the changes should be.

The database received contained 4635 official points with coordinates. It is no surprise if there are a few typos. There will inevitably be a few such that cannot be verified/corrected against other sources and must therefore be deleted. Any assistance in such is highly appreciated.

It was established with room for improvement, so please feel welcome. All changesets are documented so that it should be very easy for an experienced person to remove the changesets and renistall with correct keywords. Do, however, bear in mind that most names are simple points that exist only to have their name moved to the correct outline (lake, island, glacier, peninsula etc.) after which they can simply be deleted one by one...
