Changeset When Comment
73199543

Hi,
Did you intend to place this park here? It looks like a golf course parking lot and the changeset comment doesn't match.

Hi and welcome to OSM.
Thanks for your recent contributions to the map.
Do you know if this park is for residents of the apartments only (i.e. people can't walk in off the street)?

73134018

Apologies for the atrocious grammar on this comment -.-.

Hi davidoo008,

As you were told on reddit, please do not remove valid features from OSM in order to try and change Pokemon GO. In this changeset, you damaged several administrative boundaries and other features.

I understand that you are attempting to remove the meganest that is affecting your area - this is not the way to go about this.

This meganest is a Niantic problem, not an OSM problem. Please file a support request with Niantic or contact the NianticHelp account on Twitter to inform them of your issue.

Changes such as the one you made here which remove real, valid features will be quickly reverted.

Hi SillyCuddleBuddy and welcome to OSM :)

I have a question regarding your recent edits - you've created a series of footways named for Holes - what are these? Are they for golf? frisbee? some other kind of sport?

73088138

and by retail, I mean brownfield.

Hi and thanks for your recent addition to OSM!

I hope you don't mind, but I took a couple of minutes out to add a bit more detail to the park, as well as a few missing streets that were close by (they're now tagged with fixme=name) - you wouldn't happen to know any of their names, would you?

Thanks and happy mapping :)

Nice to see that you're putting your own words into practice here:

Hello,
As other mappers have already asked, please do not change driveways to footways, these edits are incorrect and will be removed.

There doesn't seem to be many popping up, but you might also want to look for references to "Team Instinct", "Team Mystic" and "Team Valor".

If you wanted to spend a lot of time sorting through false positives, you could also check everything tagged with just "Mystic", "Valor" or "Instinct" - I'm *sure* there's going to be a bit of bad mapping mixed in with descriptions/names containing those words, but I'm not quite crazy enough to even consider attempting to check those at the moment.

Yeah absolutely, I must be going blind. Thanks for picking up on my error here, I appreciate it.

72969778

Oh, wait.. I see what I did. One thousand apologies, I'll fix it now.

Hi,

The alt name was/is identical to the actual name tag for this school, originally the school was tagged with Name=Georges Hall Primary (missing the school).

As you correctly point out, the website, uniforms and signage for this school are all "Georges Hall Public *School*", it's not an alt_name, it's the actual name.

Hi Nonusaru,

What are you trying to add here?

72878276

Hi!

It appears that this feature has been on the map for a few years: way/465314105

Were you trying to add something to the park?

72710791

Hi!

Welcome to OSM. Thanks for your additions to the map so far :)

Just a couple of comments on your recent edits:

1) Your backyard isn't a park, OSM has a pretty well written page on parks and how they should be mapped, which you can read here: leisure=park?uselang=en

2) I've replaced the name tags on the trees you added with species and genus information based on what you added originally. The name tag should be reserved for names, so if a tree was called "Bill the Mighty" that would be a name, but there are better ways we can tag species and other similar information.

Hi!
You removed the fish pass in Wyong River in this edit - is it no longer there?

72631759

Hi!

Thanks for your recent good additions to the map :)

Just a couple of hints:

1) If a footway intersects a road or another footway and they touch in real life, they should join on the map as well. It's also good to connect the ends of paths to the road if they connect so that they can be used for routing. You can also designate the type of crossing at the connection point of roads and paths.

2) Parking aisles are used to show roads through parking lots, you normally should map parking lots as areas or points and then connect them to roads where possible rather than just having a floating parking aisle.

Howdy!

This park looks like it might just be a grassy patch out the back of some kind of farmyard/mechanical/engineering place - do you have any more information on it? Who operates it? Is it open to the public?

Hi and welcome to OSM!

Thanks for your recent contribution to the map!

I see you're trying to add a walking track, which is great. However, at the moment you've added it as a park on a house... that's probably not what you intended to do!

OSM has a specific definition of what a park is, you can find it here: leisure=park?uselang=en

Typically paths are mapped as highway=footway, highway=path or an number of other tags.
