Hi JoeYEG,

It looks like you've included shadows cast by trees in the area you added here. If you swap to other imagery in the browser-based editor (iD), other sources show things much more clearly. I have made changes to reflect what is on the ground here more accurately.

Additionally, the name tag should only be used for actual names of things. It's totally fine to leave it blank if a park/garden doesn't have a name.

Hi Brandgarc94,

I'm not sure that I'm understanding how this: way/1075985296 is a park? It looks like a hotel.

You have not added any access restrictions to this park - is the general public able to walk in and use these facilities?

123166387

Hello,

Noting that you have added a park in this general area several times over the past few years, primarily over the adjacent house, and that this house is listed on other services as being associated with a business by the name Brayack Media. For the time being, I have changed this community garden to allotments... but do you have any evidence that this community garden actually exists?

For additional reference, see changesets 55529021 (4 years ago) 74274347 (3 years ago) 82004597 (2 years ago) in which the same mapper added a similar park feature over the adjacent house, and then proceeded to expand/readd it with each revision it.

Hi!

This park seems awfully small and strangely placed. do you have any information about it? Searching for The Oasis Park at Commonwealth Avenue doesn't seem to bring up any information online.

Hello, welcome!

We define parks in a particular way on OSM: leisure=park

This doesn't include the yards of private family homes. This change has been removed.

122979249

Hi, there's already a park mapped here and I'm not sure what "AP" is, so I've removed this node.

122838783

Sure, okay, so map the specific areas that have trees, picnic tables and shelters separately (including access - can anyone walk in and use them?) rather than changing the entire Division of Highways, Materials Control Soils and Testing into a park.

122838783

Imagery that predates the first time you changed this to a park and also imagery very recent shows that this as a fenced-in compound which is about 90% asphalt and buildings. In what way could you possibly define this as a park by OSM definitions?

Thanks for the quick reply! I've converted the two park areas here into grass instead and then added a park to cover them all and carry the name "Minogue Reserve" I also expanded the park to include the basketball court as well as the garden area under the raised pedestrian walkway.

Hi!

I can delete it for you, no problem. Is there anything else I need to remove?

122465065

Hello,

You added this park way/1070311908/ over a building.

I can't find any evidence of a park with this name - do you have more information? County news articles or similar?

Welcome to OSM!
Thanks for your changeset.
I've made some changes to your edits so that the buildings are now marked as such and that features like the pool have more relevant tagging (you mapped it as a park rather than a pool)

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Hi thewrathoxic!

Welcome to OSM and thank you for your contributions so far!

You've added some recreation grounds in this backyard here. What are they? Recreation grounds are normally used for open spaces that contain sports pitches and similar features. If it's just a house's deck or similar, it's probably not a recreation ground by OSM definitoons.

We should also limit the mapping for private usage, you can read more on the wiki here: osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information

Hi!

You split Minogue Reserve into two bits here. Is there a reason for this? Personally, I'd count the path through the park as part of it.

122301564

Hello,

You would have gotten a lot of warnings before you uploaded this change - the sidewalk doesn't really make a lot of sense as it passed through University Boulevard a number of times.

I have reverted this addition.

122234555

Okay,
So first you added a park over these houses and the road and added paths as if they passed between each building.
When that was reverted, you added another park with totally different dimensions and a completely different path layout to the first one.
Now you've added a parking lot in one changeset, and then deleted it and the original houses in another.
What are you actually trying to do? What source are you using? "General Improvements" is not a useful changeset comment.

Hi,
Thank you for your quick reply. I have removed your changes.

The imagery in this location is really new and shows houses where you have added this park.
Please do not add fictional features to OSM, they will be removed.
