Changeset When Comment
125273225

That is upto you.

The node was restored to show that there is a 'hamlet' there .. not a city, village, locality.

The changeset comments help to know what you were doing .. when you come back to them some time later .. I find my own helpfull to me, let alone others.

If you see something that needs adding or changing .. you are welcome to edit. Others may disagree .. some disagree with mine too, but I also put my point of view forward. See changeset/124324306

Still not fixed.

Except the relation is for an administration boundary, not the hamlet. Restored.

Yoyoman44444 the changeset comments are not good. Please read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Hi,

The sport=Indoor_Cricket appears to be sport=cricket_nets. I have altered it .. if that is not correct then please advise?

Hi,
Club has a direct entry for surf life saving, I have re-tagged this .. and expanded the name and added short_name.

124626287

No worries about that short delay! People do have other things to do?

The inner way has the tag 'area=yes' without any further tags. That is not required and I have deleted that. Other than that looks perfect.

Keep mapping.

Hi Sam,

The 'Navy Club' is the name of the pub/club .. not club=Navy_Club ... if anything it would be club=social and name=Navy Club

I'll change this ..

Hi
Welcome to OSM!

The OSM structure is 'key'='value'.

A 'key' is always in lower case, such as osm.wiki/Tag:'name=', osm.wiki/Tag:'building='.

The 'value' should also be lower case ... except for specific keys like osm.wiki/Tag:'name='. So the "club=Sport" and "sport=Fishing" are incorrect. The OSM wiki is quit helpfull to find stuff

See sport=* .. that suggest sport=fishing could be leisure=fishing... but then club=sport is not on .. so club=fishing? Oh that is documented on club=*#Recreation

I see you have found that the key 'club' dose not render. Unfortunate. My work around (and this is 'tagging for the render, which is frowned upon, but needs must) is to put the information on the building...

I have left it as you have it .. but consider changing it to match OSM tagging.

Looking on bing I can see the cricket wear from wicket to wicket .. thus there is evidence of a cricket pitch.

AFL is a winter game - so it is 'on the ground' now. AFL is a very large pitch usually taking all of the space available.
Cricket is a summer game so it is not 'on the ground now'. Cricket is a smaller pitch than AFL and when the sports cohabit the same area it is usually for the cricket pitch to be moved from time to time so as to spread the wear on the surface. Thus I expect the cricket playing area will change over time, and eventually return to some previous location. If you want the map to be a match for what is there now .. fine .. but expect the cricket area to be moved over time .. The map is a representation of what to find there. There will not be many fussed over this movement of the playing area.

Take a look at osm.wiki/Talk:Tag:sport%3Dcricket in particular SK53 comment..

Hi,

Part reverted - to restore Ela Police Barracks and Kimininga SDA Church ... take care.

125045757

Ar ... you used bing. We have more accurate data than that...

Hi,
This changeset was partially reverted to restore the shape of the Sydney Opera House, the change made the roof cross itself.

The changeset comment 'Sydney' is not very informative... what were you doing? And what is the source of the changes?
I note that there were changes to some administration boundaries ..

I have removed the bull (pun) ... they were on
node/9069893661/history

and

node/9109512061/history

Not certain why they were there ... vicious large dog? Or maybe I have it wrong.. but if you do remember I'd be interested..

I keep using that tool to spot my errors .. 4 of them yesterday ... mutter mutter...

Hi,

The relation for the building .. using buildingpart (Relation: Shoe Haus (14468310)) does not match the OSM wiki for building parts... see building:part=*

Also Way: 1086891261 crosses it self and the tagging makes little sense... I take it as a simple building wall ... and OSM does not map those...

124626287

Hi
relation/14437194 is in error ...

The way with the role 'inner' is not an inner... it touches the outer.

The outer doubles back on itself to create the hole ... the hole should be a separate way with the role inner...
For a complete explanation see osm.wiki/Relation:multipolygon

124294205

You have made no attempt to fix the error .. and I have in the past done as you suggest by fixing your error .. getting tired of it .. with little to no response for you ... suggest you fix it rather than leave it for others to fix. Thank you.
You will observe my normal response time ... it can be longer when I'm away, but I do respond especially when I'm mapping.

Bugger ... not certain why I deleted the building tag! My error.

Fixed.

Using a circle is a simplification, the AFL pitch should be much larger. Using the AFL boundaries as the cricket boundary is incorrect.

Rules? - thus for cricket
A circular cricket field is considered as the perfect field but generally a cricket pitch is slightly oval. Its diameter varies between 137m and 150m. The ICC Test Match Standard Playing Conditions (October 2014) Law 19.1 defines the playing area as a minimum of 137.16m from boundary to boundary square of the pitch, with the shorter of the two square boundaries a minimum of 59.43m. The straight boundary at both ends of the pitch is a minimum of 64m. Distances are measured from the centre of the pitch. All boundaries are marked by a rope or similar object as per the ICC rules

Hi,
sport=cricket_nets is valid and better than sport=cricket;cricket_nets, net=yes
