Hi,

I take it the names for these new streams came from the NSW DCS Base Map? You will find the Base Map to be usefull where things are under tree cover.

Tag it disused if that is suitable. Maxar shows it very green while Bing shows it in use. My thinking is that the farmer may well use the track for harvesting, planting etc so it may become 'in use' once more. Some renders won't show disused - as in it vanishes, others render it differently.

Correction.
Norwest of Forbes. Not Parkes

I would think that the farmer uses these tracks to access the adjacent fields.
There is a mapped gate at the western end of Way: Banks Road (696650315). No mapped fence or gate at other locations.

A router should pay attention to the access tags, the access may not show on some maps. The problem of rendering should not impact the entry of data.

Rather than delete data - add to it. In this case add access=private. If you have evidence that the track is 'disused' then add the tags for that. Only remove things when they are well and truly gone.

HI,

The tag "access=private" can be used to say that a road is not open to the public - that is it is a private road.
The other problem is that the vic government has a name on at least one of these roads ..

Reverted and access tags added to tracks.

You have never been here? I have.

Pages Creek Rd is tertiary, certainly not service! The golf course does not run across this rd.

I have;
Reduce the size of the golf course, added access and description tags to it.
Tagged the road correctly.

Hi,

The building outlines look to be displaced by 5 metres relative to the mapped roads. The imagery used to produce the building footprints can be corrected to the road position and thus keep everything relative to one another correct.

Hi,

The name should be for the name only .. not a description such as 'Public Reserve'. See osm.wiki/Names#Name_is_the_name_only

The relation for 'Public Reserve' has 3 members.. one of them has no role - see https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=147.69958&lat=-42.89495&zoom=14

Take a look on the above link -shows the part where the things meet up.

What I would do is separate the ways at the nodes where they meet, delete both the new short ways where they meet. This would then be ok.

However for extra points, combine the ways that touch each outer into one continuous way.

Note: I have never used iD so I cannot help you there. But this is what I'd do. I use JOSM.

You should fix this, I find I learn best by fixing my own errors.

Hi,
way/963359153 - farmland is not right.
See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=149.72064&lat=-30.15801&zoom=15

The best way to do that is using a multipolygon relation - a simple closed way around the outside (role 'outer' in the relation), then map the unused area as a closed way (role 'inner' within the relation).
Thanks for mapping some farmland. I also tag it with produce=crop.

Hi,
Looks to be a conflict between the boundaries and natural features ... they are both using the same nodes .. but for different things..
It is really annoying - OSM should have different mapping skins for the different things; land cover and land features, roads/railways paths and footways, admin boundaries, landuse ... it would make it much easier to edit ... and possibly for data consumers too?

I'm fixing a 'bear rock' closed way crossing itself ... but as usual when you come across one problem you find 10 more.

Hi,
Welcome to OSM...

Multipolygon relation outer ways cannot share segments, so there are 2 errors here. See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=145.00072&lat=-38.32257&zoom=16

P.S. Maxar tends to be the most upto date imagery OSM has. Try it and see.

Hi,
Why have you made 2 relations for these buildings. They could be simple closed ways.. much easier.

The relation for 'Miami Ice' is not closed - this is an error.

Suggest

1) making Way: 537569927 a closed way with the tags for Miami Ice.
2) deleting both relations.

107428742

Relationship for South Bunbury administration boundary role changed back to 'outer'. The role 'inner' is an error made in this changeset.

107407510

Note: Align your imagery to things already in OSM, that way your added building will not cross roads, enter parks...

107407510

The landuse=residential overlaps buildings... suggesting that one part of the building is residential while the other part is not..?

Where waterways (eg drains) cross streets there should be something to indicate how the crossing is made .. in these cases it looks to be a cluvert, layer=-1.

Use the OSM wiki to look things up
eg tunnel=culvert

Hi,

Instead of mapping the shops as areas, map them as nodes. The areas are buildings, map those as building=retail.

107339930

Yep. All good. It is a usefull skill to have for things like tree areas with other things inside them.
