Hi
Building way crosses itself. This is an error that the JOSM validator would have identified before you uploaded .. and should be fixed preferably by you so you learn from the error so as not to repeat it.

See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=144.84535&lat=-37.76451&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Hi,

The changes to administration boundaries have been reverted. These boundaries come from government data and are not based on imagery.

Please make changeset comments so other can see what was trying to be achieved.

Hi,

What 'help' ??? The changeset comment 'help' may imply that some help is needed???

138268261

Hi,
Welcome to OSM!

Unfortunately there is a copyright notice on http://www.victorianrailways.net/about_wanted/about_wanted.html

OSM is very strict on copyright so this changeset has been reverted. Sorry about that.

When they 'move' they usually brake and show up on https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=151.13628&lat=-33.74316&zoom=8&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

That updates daily.

The official gov data is 'PSMA' available on the OSM Australian Data page. Get that as the basis of replacing any creek boundaries.

When you work on a creek .. download the OSM creek, then 'File' 'download along' -(I set it to 1m distance and not more than 1 km) and using 'more tools' 'replace geometry' replace the old with your new. This should don the job .. but any side creeks might get displaced where they join the new entry.
The 'down load along' gets the side creeks and should get any boundaries that use the creek.

I think that will work.

I have added the cricket. However the other sports are not obvious to me ..

See
way/1090733814
way/1185627654

I prefer individual mapping as that shows the individual sports are present.

Added netball - way/1185627656

Hi
The 'landuse=grass' is actually an AFL pitch. Corrected.

Hi,

There are OSM problems with that relation.
See the QA tool https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=138.52990&lat=-34.65386&zoom=14&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Seethe OSM wiki osm.wiki/Relation:multipolygon

This looks very confused! The name is used multiple times... would this not be a single 'place' with the name? OSM guide says 'one feature = one OSM entry' I'd map an outer way with the name and a place=something tag. Then map the commercial etc landuses without a name... Hope that helps.

Hi,
The change to Wheeny Ck leads to changes to the following admin boundaries;
Sydney
Wheeny Ck
Kurrajong Hills
Kurrajong Heights
Kurrajong
Grose Vale

137897455

Hi,

Some of these waterways are used as admin boundaries.
Would it be better if the 2 features were entered as separate ways?

137810410

Hi,
This changeset was partially reverted to restore admin boundaries of Darwin Harbour, The Gardens and Larrakeya. These are sourced for Government data .. not imagery.

137767037

I have deleted the relation - all the buildings are part of the landuse= religious ...
The outer way/1184883535 already has landuse religious and address details.

This also removes the house number 15.

137767037

Hi,
The property has the house number of 49 to 57, Wade St. That can be confirmed by looking at the DCS Base Map ... with some 'interpretation'.
What is the source of house number 15??? And what street is it?

137673584

Errr ...

1) multipolygon relations cannot share outer way segments.
See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=151.22194&lat=-33.87452&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

2 the building tag should have only one value. So building=yes;hotel is wrong.

3 The hotel covers more that what you have mapped. It would be best mapped using building:part tagging.

Hi,

Razed is used to stop people mapping things that no longer exist. If the objects are no longer on imagery then the razed objects can be deleted from OSM.
"Avoid mapping former railways if it is impossible to determine the former route from the ground or aerial imagery. "
railway=razed

Hi,

There is an error in relation 15985553. The outer way touches the inner way. See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=137.66508&lat=-34.79486&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

PS nice to map some of the rural areas of OZ.

137267426

Hi,

Why break the roundabout (way/170503250 is part of it) into segments??? Each segment has exactly the same tags...

I have restored it back to one entry.

136937622

You are going to have to;

read the error given by that tool

follow the previous example if relevant

look on the OSM wiki page for multipolygon relations and fine the error.

Takes time. But you learn more that way than being lead by me.

Marmion Avenue:

oneway=yes

with
lanes:forward=1
lanes:backward=1

That makes no sense. Needs fixing
