This island is called "Saelak Isle." There is a street sign on the mainland which points to the Isle, listing the name.

Additionally, Indian Creek does not cut through the island, nor is Lewis Cemetery located on it. Historic topographic maps from the USGS survey from prior to the creation of Douglas Lake (e.g., the 1935 Clevenger TN survey) show the original path of Indian Creek as circumscribing the island by the western and northern faces. Today, however, the lake is the principal body of water in the area.
