Well, actually, I do have a few sources to back them up: Wikipedia, GADM and danhmuchanhchinh.gso.gov.vn. I will try my best to maintain them until all of them get imported into OHM

Oh well, just tag these communes in Quang Ninh with boundary=historical first, then you can add new one as you wish. Note that I already added some new communes as per govt decisions in the province, so you better update them first rather than deleting them

Yes, bc I'm very enthusiastic about these; and to be fair, these boundaries will linger in people's mind for quite a long time (at least down to the districts), so these units may satisfy the attestation criterion of boundary=historical in OSM. That being said, if these is a way to magically bring them into OHM, I would be glad to do it

Why did you do this? It's not easy to redraw them in OHM without some mass import, whose practical method I have not found yet

And also, is there a way to import OSM data into OHM? I would feel safe to delete boundaries only when I could archive it there

Well, that is one way to do it, but without already established boundaries, it will be much more tedious. Also, if you change any other boundary in Quang Ninh Province, please tag it with boundary=historical instead of outright deleting it, because I do not want my hard work drawing these to be wasted so quickly...
