I think you made a mistake here. You didnt add the beach island to the lake relation, but rather you created a new relation that contains just the beach island.

It appears that all objects are duplicated. Look at node/11991835403 for example. This node is part of 2 ways that contain identical information. and there also appear to be duplicate untagged nodes as well

Thank you for this fix. Don't worry about the large bbox size. It is in no way inappropriate. Some people just like to complain about every large bbox they see.
