| 176708631 | I had now been using https://nunataqqi.gl/ to check for the #13493 id at the nuna aqqi dataset version 2.0. |
|
| 176708631 | But on the changeset you changed the name:da tag from Nuuk to Godthåb. I now looked at the Nunat Aqqi Stednavne dataset and the id #13493 says "Dansk (fra arkiv)": Godthåb but for that sounds rather like old_name:da and not name:da. For name:da I would still recommend Nuuk, as Nuuk is widely used today in dansk writing and Godthåb seems rather the old_name:da (and had been the old_name:da value already). |
|
| 176708631 | My perspective is also that a map should be useful in todays use so if all mayor media outlets in Dansk (Berlinske, Politiken, DR etc.) use Nuuk as name, it would be easier for a map viewer to read Nuuk here if language is set to "da" than the old Godthåb but I'm not a Danish speaker so it would maybe best to ask the Danish community (e.g. here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/dk/77 ) about it. |

| 176708631 | Hello andershl, thank you for your fast response. Is their an online source for the official set of names from the Greenland name authority db? I tried https://data.geus.dk/geonetwork/srv/eng/catalog.search#/metadata/4c3820cd-f45d-4d2a-9cb6-ebc63422ff98/formatters/xsl-view?root=div&view=advanced but that one gets me a 404 error while trying to load the WMS layer. I haven't found another publication yet. |

| 176708631 | Hello andershl, for the old spelling we have the "old_name:da" tag which had "Godthåb" already. But you changed the name:da from "Nuuk" into "Godthåb" which is surprising as if I look into Danish media I rather see the Nuuk spelling in Dansk than the old Godthåb. Wouldn't it be better to have Nuuk in name:da and Godthåb in old_name:da or do you think that Godthåb is more widely used than Nuuk in Danish society today? |

| 76474696 | Hello Supaplex, with this changeset you've added a lot of multilingual names to the Orlando city relation but quite a few of those had the value of "Florida" (and only Florida) in those languages but not "Orlando". This was probably a mistake in your large changeset. I hope that my deletions of those wrong name:xx tags (Florida instead of Orlando or Orlando, Florida) in changeset/152561390 are ok with you. |
|
| 152561390 | I did delete a lot of name:xx tags that have misrepresented Orlando as Florida. Please check your language to see if the name in your language translates to Orlando or Orlando, Florida (both fine) or Florida (wrong). |

| 151847834 | Sorry, you are right, this El Valle is not the El Valle that is the region DO-37, I see it now. I misunderstood your changeset comment when I first read it. But with your explanations and while looking at the regions of DO again, it makes sense. |

| 150515267 | Looking at the satellite image I don't see a wood in this form otg. Nice art though but please do not enter "artwork" into the map that is not reflecting what is on the ground. Yes, there are a few trees but not a heart-shaped wood. Would you revert this changeset? Thank you. |
