You've reversed the road way/182751939 here but not modified the role that it has within the route relations. Was that deliberate?

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

It looks like you're trying to map a bus route here, but the way to do this isn't to create duplicate streets of existing ones. I've removed way/385405076 and trimmed Alexandra Road back to its former size way/56457959 .
To add a bus route, you'll want to create an OSM "relation", consisting of constituent ways. Here's one locally that you might be able to use as an example:
relation/1178471 . If you'd like any help doing it, you could ask over at the help site https://help.openstreetmap.org/ or on the #osm channel on IRC osm.wiki/IRC - there will be lots of people there able to help.

Andy (SomeoneElse)

Something's gone a bit wrong here. You've added node/3887264860 , but it looks like a duplicate of the already-existing node/3883566264 .

If something hasn't got a name, there's no need to create one for OpenStreetMap. I'm guessing that the track at way/25000912 isn't really called "Restricted byway". You've added a "designation=restricted_byway" tag, so any map style that wants to display that information can do; there's no need to add a name of "Restricted byway" as well. I probably wouldn't also add a tag "access=not specified" here since you've actually specified most of the options explicitly (horse=yes; motor_vehicle=no etc.). Strictly speaking you do have a right to travel by non-motorised vehicle (e.g. a horse and cart) on a restricted byway, so some people add "vehicle=yes; motor_vehicle=no" to them, but if you've got the "designation" mapped that's 90% of the work :)

On the "names" thing there's a section of OSM's wiki that might be useful:
osm.wiki/Names#Name_is_the_name_only

Cheers,
Andy

(re the selecting multiple ways thing) - it turns out that I tried to find out how to do this a couple of years ago:

I think that something's gone a bit wrong with way/385248573 - if you click that link you can see that both the start and end of it are " (part of way Over Hill Road (385397014))", i.e. it's a duplicate of a bit of unclassified road.

Unfortunately, within the default editor that you're using I'm not sure how you're supposed to select either the track or the road to do something with them (such as deleting the overlapping bit of residential road). I'll try and find out, but in the short term I can remove the overlapping bit in a different editor if you like.
One more question - is the name "Over Hill Road" or "Oven Hill Road"? The bit just to the north has a name taken from OS OpenData as "Oven Hill Road", but it's fairly common for there to be misspellings in that, so if it's really "Over Hill Road" all the way to Birch Vale you can change the name to that (and it would also help to add a "not:name" tag of "Oven Hill Road" - there's an "all tags" option at the bottom left of the editor - you can add extra tags in there).

Hello,
You've added a wikipedia tag to this coffee shop to the main "Starbucks Corporation" page. This isn't really correct, since wikipedia tags should be for the object itself, not its brand or operator. See:

https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2015-December/075204.html

for more details.

As an example, it would make sense for way/5213282 to have a wikipedia tag of https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%9D%B1%E4%BA%AC%E6%B9%BE%E3%82%A2%E3%82%AF%E3%82%A2%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3 , because that's the wikipedia page of that actual object, but this object isn't "The Starbucks Corporation", it's just one coffee shop.

Anyway, hope you don't mind me mentioning this, but I thought it make sense to since you might not be following the "talk" list.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hi - just checking - are you sure that way/27718891 is really called "Action Lane"? There's an Acton Lane just to the northwest - is this a misspelling or perhaps some sort of pun?

I think that it might help to zoom in a bit more when adding landuse when other features (like walls) have already been mapped.
If you look here:

osm.org/#map=18/53.19586/-1.55974

you can see there's a non-heath gap where the landuse hasn't been joined up properly. Actually, since the middle of the Chesterfield Road clearly isn't "heathland" I'd have used the existing nodes for the wall to the south of the road. Some bits might also need a survey to see what is low-grade pasture and what is really heathland. When I did that up at osm.org/#map=16/53.3872/-1.6693 the results were surprisingly different to the imagery.
Cheers,
Andy

I'm not sure exactly what "gathering local knowledge from a complexity of sources, to verify what can be seen from aerial imagery, in a spacial and temporal perspective" means - did you visit Somercotes or not?

35876407

@Polarbear When did you visit Wem to assess the "structural type" of this particular building?

35703261

For info, the bug in POI+ is logged at https://github.com/davidchiles/osm-poi-editor-iOS/issues/10

35883502

What does "write error correction" mean?

35760517

... and another question: What was your justification for the tagging of way/384455591 as a "village green"?

35760517

The source here is listed as "local survey; Bing". Does this mean you actually visited the area?

@Mars-Curaçao - calling someone a "fucking asshole" in changeset discussion comments is _not_ OK (and neither is "repaired the shit from foreigners" on changeset/35760694 ). Can you identify the specific change that has caused your navigation app to not know the road between Grote Berg and Tera Cora? If so, explain the problem, what has likely gone wrong, and how to fix it. OpenStreetMap is a collaborative project; we have to work together if we want to create the best map. Swearing at people is extremely unlikely to achieve the desired result.

node/281675570 zuvor war eine Bank mit Geldautomat, jetzt ist es nur eine Geldautomat - ist das richtig?

For info, I've now joined in changeset/35831558 .

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

You've Sloane & Sons here, but it really needs some sort of "main tag" to explain what it is. Is it a shop or a factory:

If it's a shop, then one of these might work:

http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org.uk/keys/shop#values

(there are a few "shop=bed" already). If it's a factory, perhaps a "man_made=works" tag would work?

Best Regards,
Andy Townsend
