| 154323209 | @gileri In this example that argument is clearly rubbish. Here we have numerous photos including one from you that does not support your choice of name! |
| 154323209 | It certainly seems that "Orpi Millet Immobilier Pierre-Bénite" is NOT considered by most people as the best name to use here.
| 154323209 | More seriously, OSM is a shared project. If "everyone else" thinks one thing and you think another, then it does not matter if you think you are right or wrong, you have to tag it as the majority of mappers would. By all means find some other obscure tag to store "descriptive name as found on the website". |
| 154323209 | As noted at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/restructure-wiki-page-key-name/110631/148 the "name on a website" is not guaranteed to be the name. It might just be some descriptive information about location. |
| 154323209 | That photo certainly does not back up the long name used in this changeset. |
| 154323209 | Bonjour Gileri,

| 154323209 | Hello gileri,

| 154346511 | Hello MKBE_2, "until 25/7/24" is basically "until tomorrow. It really isn't work making edits to "close" roads in OSM for a day. The cadence with which people consume OSM data varies greatly. Some renderers update every minute or so; routers generally take a few days and other consumers are often weekly or monthly, or even longer. If something is being closed for a few months because (say) a new rail line is being built then an update to OSM makes sense. If it's for less than 24 hours it does not. Over at osm.org/user_blocks/16486 I did suggest that you say hello at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/new-edits-by-busmiles-affiliated-people-in-the-uk/116376/1 to explain about the edits that you're doing, and discuss the best way to record the data that you want to record. Please do that. I'll revert this changeset because I know that a data extract that will occur tonight http://download.geofabrik.de/europe/great-britain.html will be used to create downloadable garmin maps tomorrow https://map.atownsend.org.uk/maps/map/mkgmap.html , and those will be wrong because this road closure will be over by then. Best Regards, Andy |

| 154117129 | Thanks for mapping the wall and fence here! |
| 153727579 | I've filled the gaps in in changeset/154035693 and changeset/154035732 . |
| 153983892 | Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
| 153118676 | The discussion of this was at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/black-park-north-of-slough-whats-the-best-tag/114959 . I'd suggest that you join the discussion there. |
| 153118676 | You've said "re-add vaguer protected area boundary" - can you explain what boundary you "re-added"? The tagging changes can be seen at https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/1270661319 . Are you sure that a local authority country park really meets the criteria set out at protect%20class=2?uselang=en-GB ? |

| 153930837 | Actually most of this was the Knaresborough section of the Harrogate Ringway |
| 153924597 | This covers one side of Harlow Carr, but the other side still needs nudging to match a survey on 28/06 |
| 152291681 | Thanks |
| 153694418 | Clearly everything of value is mapped in Europe so we can get on with merging synonyms (which everyone surely consumes now, and will continue to consume, in perpetuity)

| 153889937 | Hello "cybermapper" please do use meaningful changeset comments. "update" doesn't really help anyone understand what you are doing. |
