This did a "full pre-vandalism revert" on ways affected by changeset/142935382 . See also https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/vandalism-and-blocks-in-israel/105176/71 and below.

The relevant issues are (a) osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct and (b) the discussion at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/automated-edits-avinet-ua/99879 .
Where there have been names lost (e.g. a name changed and an old Russian no-longer-used name moved to old_name:ru) I've been reapplying them in e,g, changeset/142959562 .
Something like https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/636788737 shows the problem - we need to get rid of the mechanical edits by deleted users before we can start applying the correct changes - in that example at changeset/139291335 .
I'm sure that there are places where there really are no Russian names now (and way/636788737 may well be one) then please discuss it at https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/ua/66 and get it applied - but first we'll need to back out the vandalism from deleted accounts, that deleted Russian names from all sorts of things, including rivers that cross boundaries, that surely do have names in Russian.

Essentially, changeset/142842064 happened. A user created an account made some changes and immediately deleted it, because there were unwilling to discuss their changes with the community.

(for the benefit of anyone stumbling on this changeset) further discussion is at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/vandalism-and-blocks-in-israel/105176 .

Tagging these as "amenity=parking" is somewhat unusual. It's not unique - https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1CFs shows some in Brussels - but it's pretty unique in the UK.
It's probably worth discussing the best tag for these on https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb or (internationally) at c.osm.org .

It'd be really helpful if you could use a changeset comment that's a bit more descriptive than "Fixes" - it would help people to understand what had actually been changed.

It's probably worth checkin in at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/vandalism-and-blocks-in-israel/105176/7 - there's a risk that unless you're really careful you might cause some of the post-vandalism reverts that are in progress to fail.

A revert was in progress for this, but your edit here has made that much harder. IF you look at node/27647064/history , you'll see that your edit contains an incorrect location for the node.

I've reverted this node name change in changeset/143305909 . Whilst there's certainly a discussion to be had about names here (the DWG has been involved in discussions of the name of Jerusalem in the past) and undicussed change is not the way to achieve this.
Please discuss contentious changes at https://community.openstreetmap.org before making them.
