This obviously does mean "département" in the French sense - but there's arguably more of a cleanup needed here. See changeset/16677898 for the removal of some other iffy tags here.
You could argue that there's no need to store the département name on every node since the address is given by Nominatim already as including "Département de l'Ouest, Haiti".

I'll undelete the original node and add it back to the NaPTAN site relation and delete the new one.

Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Hello,
This changeset covers a very large area, so it'll appear in lots of people's "history" lists. It'd be much better if you could have different changesets for different areas - that way people can more easily see what has changed near them.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hi,
Just a guess, but I suspect that you might have been aiming for "leisure=garden" on relation/6315590#map=17/53.23770/-1.44015 rather than "landuse"?
Also I'm not sure how it ended up as a relation - I'm guessing that iD did that automatically for reasons best known to itself?
Cheers,
Andy

I removed the made-up names "SPSP" on e.g. way/424321513 as well. that was added by the previous (new) contributor; which I didn't fix straight away because I had let them know about it via a changeset discussion.

Any reason for the expansion of way/424321516 to include the field to the west and the footpath to the right? It's certainly not obvious from the road that it's this big - the previous size of the school area was based on what things look like from the road.

The new "park" here is sort-of a duplicate isn't it? I can see the Japanese Gardens already mapped; maybe the whole National Stud area should be added as something (some of it's a bit like parkland; maybe leisure=park is the best tag)?
Disclaimer - I'm not a local and it's a good few years since I visited...

Hi,
Is the name of changeset/40200463 really "Romney Walk / Thames Path"? Obviously it's part of the Thames Path long-distance route (which we can see because it's a member of relation/20469 , and maps that choose to render those will show it - see https://c.tile.thunderforest.com/outdoors/16/32657/21798.png ).
However, please don't add the name of a route relation to the name of a road - it only confuses things.
Hope you don't mind me mentioning this - just trying to help (before you get too far up the Thames). Any question please don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers,
Andy

What's the source of this data (other than knowing that you can get a train from London to Glasgow, of course) and what's the licence for that source?

39541947

There is - the westbound bus stop is replacing node/486583721/history at osm.org/?mlat=54.66727&mlon=-3.34871&zoom=18#map=18/54.66727/-3.34871 which was presumably deleted by mistake.

Hi,
Taking on board the discussion from changeset/39422000 , presumably the information added to node/4193209173 can move to uMap as well? I'm guessing that "Former Petrol Station" isn't really a name, just a description of what it was?

40194753

@wille it's been discussed on the mailing lists at least once:

https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2013-September/thread.html#14742

There may be others - try doing a site search of site:https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/ for different sorts of school.

Thanks

Thanks - that's presumably what was meant here.

Ah - OK, thanks.

Thanks, that makes more sense.
