Repaired woodland relation in changeset/147759181

Why did you tag the woodland outline with man_made=cutline, separating it from the wood multipolygon relation? These are cutline-breaks in forest/wood area for special purposes. See wiki man_made=cutline

Apologies to all, if you're missing all the bright green in the Park Nat. d'Abruzzo and see all these grand white voids... someone last year, lets say, inadvertently, put the natural=grassland tag on this 496km square park area when substantially no grassland was mapped at all. It's parts prateria, scree, bare rock, farmland, scrub, wood, heath and whatever not yet identified. Very Very WIP, and oddly, in no Carto Standard zoom level the park name is seen rendering, but search does find the area/name.

Correct comment: Naz.Parco d'Abruzzo natural landcover, ways, outline refinements on prior mapped wood. man made rock heaps (pietro secco).

v.v. liking trees showing on scree or bare rock, have I got news for you... Carto Standard does it one way and other data consumers do it their way. Look at e.g. F4Map and then zoom in to get the 3D rendition.

Castel di Ieri area grassland, scrub, wood, rock, scree, buildings, ways, industr.area. Tag driveways as private same as gates.

Also restored original forest tag on area relation, changed to farmland in changeset/147455947

Your area correction could have broken the large forest relation now no longer rendering. See relation/273807#map=13/45.7304/8.9337 zoom to 1km and hit Ctrl+F5 to refresh your browser cache to see the effect.

The layer=-1 tag tells it's 1 level below the Piazza Lauro de Bosis which has not been mapped, only the ways that cross the square carrying that name. Also the area is connected to the ways at the surface i.e layer=0 so I think properly the highway tag of the area has to be removed and place=square to be added+name+surface details and if lit and the layer=-1 tag removed.

For tagging purposes, the correct tag for highway as an area is area:highway=* See wiki which has no Italian translation area:highway=*

Please let me know what that service area is and why it is at layer=-1 as right now it's causing duplicate edge warnings with adjacent pedestrian areas at ground level which a square would not cause.

On the whole, think you inherited these tags from previous mappers going back to 2021, the time being now to correct this.

Welcome to OSM. In your first effort you mapped some builing on top of a driveway end. Either the building needs adjusting or the way posituon corrected. The summary above this edit warns for 1 such case.

OK, well, removing the inner / outer is fine, still affixed to the bank / water outer ring and gone invisible as water supersedes in rendering. Maybe a flood prone tag, intermittent or map the water outside?

'coast' makes me think of the sea, banks would be of an inland water :O)

How is a piece of sand surface land affixed to the shore beccoming an inner island?

Unfortunately you did another edit changeset/146773891 after this one affecting the park relation, somehow including the node of Falesia Nusca. When I try to revert, because it has to be sequential, I get a mountain of errors 1 being that members are now tagged twice as boundary, as relation member and as way and a duplicate way. Need to sleep on this first, till then please don't do more edits here.

Well, you managed to cause the whole park boundary to disappear from the Carto map in zoom up to 1km. The 2km and lower gives the falls impression it's still there but those tiles only update Friday night.

This is funny, as just now a mapper came in and did tag the boundary and name tag on each boundary element of Parco Maiella and then upload that with 113 geometry warnings to boot

Yup, The 'personal' list this morning flagged it. Touch anything in OSM and you become co-owner for life. :o|
I'll look at this later, else Inspector wont let me forget.
(On first sight thought the duplicate was caused by a boundary. I try to avoid those road overlaps as it obfuscates many issues.)
