A checkpoint should be tagged is as military=checkpoint and not as tourism=viewpoint, but I don't know if maps.me supports this..

If you look at my edit history, you'll see I make edits both ways. In fact I'm the one who renamed the second "Judea and Samaria" relation (an Israeli name) to "West Bank" (A Palestinian name) because it was objectively the right thing to do.

I removed "palestenian" from the name tag. Politics have no place in OSM, and the territories are marked by the various relations already.
